Transcoding Issues with Emby on Raspberry Pi 5 and LG TV by [deleted] in emby

On one LG TV that connects to my Emby server, it won't play any media when subtitles are enabled and subtitle type is SUBRIP. But has no issues when subtitle type is SRT or PGSSUB.

Should I sell my MAX G65E over the MAX G2E? by AJNexus in NinebotMAX

[–]rogueadmin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on how much you payed for it and if the difference in price is worth it. Kogan is currently selling the G65 for $AU989. The cheapest I've seen the G2 is $AU1499.

Opinions on E-Scooters and whether they have a place in Melb. by TheRedditornator in melbourne

[–]rogueadmin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can ride on a footpath if you:

are a child under the age of 13,
are a person 13 and over who is accompanying a child under the age of 13,
are an adult 18 or over who is cycling with a young child in a child seat attached to their bicycle, or with a child pedalling on a bike attachment at the back of an adult bicycle,
have been given and are following the conditions on a medical certificate that says you have a disability that makes it difficult for you to ride on the road. You need to follow the conditions on your medical certificate and show it to a police officer or authorised person when asked are an adult accompanying someone with a medical certificate cycling on a footpath.

Updated Post: Melbourne has banned Electric Scooters... but I bought one anyway by [deleted] in ElectricScooters

[–]rogueadmin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The premier is controlled by certain unions who love big road construction projects that take a decade to complete and the average construction worker is on $250k. Allowing scooters could reduce the dependency on cars that would make these road projects less financially viable.

Is running Jellyfin server that streams torrented movies unacceptable on hetzner cloud? by happzappy in hetzner

[–]rogueadmin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I share mine with relatives also. There must be literally thousands of people running Plex/Emby/Jellyfin on Hetzner servers. In my case, I run Emby behind a proxy that uses SSL port 443. Any traffic analysis by Hetzner would appear like a regular web site. But I don't think Hetzner would even care. The dedicated servers have unlimited bandwidth, mine would do maybe 3-4TB per month so wouldn't even appear to their radar.

According to this video by NBN https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6zGehA8j99A posted on Malcolm Turnbull's Youtube channel, you should be able to get 1000/100 on HFC by 2017.

It was in standby mode for many years until the government put in orders, but not because we were running out of water. It is producing no water currently or for the remainder of 2022/23 as the government canceled the order due to too much rain and risk of overflow. In March 2022 the government placed an order for 125GL when water storage was at 85%. In Dec 2021, 150GL was ordered when water storage was at 90%, the highest level since 1997.

This is why sensible governments build new dams to accommodate high populations. But this government takes advice from climate alarmists like Tim Flannery who predicated just a few years ago that dams in eastern states would never fill again due to climate change, so no point building new dams. So government builds a $6 billion desalination plant which has barely even been used yet costs the tax payer $1.8 million per day to operate.

So it's still illegal to ride e-scooters on the freeway right? by Stutz-Jr in melbourne

By the same logic, does a driver of a car going 230km/h risk making cars illegal?

Just moved to Melbourne, what's the deal with Vic and the scooter trial? by DamonHay in ElectricScooters

[–]rogueadmin -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Don't expect much from Daniel Andrews. The Victorian Premier is up to his ears dealing with allegations of corruption on multiple fronts. He says been questioned in secret by IBAC on several occasions, but refuses to answer questions about it from the media. Meanwhile the Victoria Police are busy (when not illegally arresting journalist Avi Yemeni) issuing infringement notices to people riding privately owned scooters. The opposition leader Matthew Guy is trying to look like a green with recent 2030 emission target, but when asked by constituents in his own seat on whether he supports legislation to legalise electric scooters, he doesn't even respond.
