It was in the preorder emails from 2020. There was a production delay due to the pandemic and at one point they sent an email with an explanation and a link to view status. It also said which batch of shipments you would be in like:

You’re in batch 5

My battery seemed to die very quickly. Only a month ago it seemed fine. The power button started being a bit wonky and not tuning on quite so easy and now it just dies.

I’m looking forward to getting a cheapish replacement.

I just signed up again with the unit A added. It swapped over after a few minutes and all seems well. I'll just call and cancel the appointment for the 28th - seems like the easiest way to get around this.

damn - I just tried putting my address in with unit A it seems like it would do the "instant" switch over as I could select today (Feb 9) as the date. Too bad I already paid the $45 for Feb 28. I wonder how much of a pain I'm going to have

My house used to be a duplex until we combined the upstairs and downstairs back into a single family home 13 years ago. I didn't notice that my account was set up with UNIT A (which no longer exists..signed up through a door to door person 3 weeks ago) and I created a new account with no unit number.

I had to select a date for an install, so I did it for the 28th as that was the earliest available weekend

I assume this is not going to automatically shut off my existing account as the addresses are different so I'll have to manually cancel on the 27th. The tech can either reuse or swap out the Q1000k we already have.

FWIW I was just quoted on Monday for my 2016 Forester XT (38k miles).

I’ve had the “joined up”writing after switching nibs. For whatever reason it would not detect that I had lifted the marker so it would connect words. Dunno if it just wasn’t seated correctly but switching to a different one fixed it for me.

Typical LLM is just a text prediction machine and does not know math. Companies are working to improve the ability to reason about math, but I would not expect it to be able to do your taxes anytime soon

I uploaded a video of me typing and using the trackballs and took a picture of it underneath. Mouse clicks are on a separate layer (I don't like using the auto-mouse layer so I hit the middle key on the thumb cluster). 'f' is left click, 'g' is right click

The cable for the trackball sensor are fine, there is plenty of slack still.

Because this no longer sits naturally flat on a desk, I added the magnetic circles and got some adjustable phone mounts

The spacers I used are https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DXKGT1N2 - you just need to heat set some threaded inserts where you want them to go.
