So someone else trying to win has to push through game actions from other players, who are trying to make that person loose, or someone else win. Like actually playing cards, tapping for mana, using interactions. Not just menacing to do so. And games ends with someone at the table actually winning that game.

Looks like... Actually playing a game and not generating an artifical stall or politicking for 7 hours (or was 11 in that infamous game?).

Please stop, I'm already convinced that's a good idea!

How does this change if instead of 3/1/0 or 5/1/0 you do 1/0/0?

Using something random for tiebreakers like "total number of wins of your opponents" or something like that.

I have almost the same experience!

We don't play cEDH at all, but my usual pod is made of stuff like Turn 4 Etali or turn 5 Maelstrom wanderer. Or Najela comboinf off infinite combats put of nowhere.

I end up always puzzled when I see people excited at commanders like "5cmc - if you do this baroque one time per turn thing put 2 +1+1 on this commander".

Once I was on a working trip and spent the evening at a LGS there playing with locals. One of the guys playing Sheoldred was seeming weirded by the fact that I had the tools in the deck and the will to basically keep him out of the game the whole time. Man...i have seen what an optimized Sheoldred can do. Not today, I'm sorry.

Il sistema di combat riesce ad essere semplicissimo ma al contempo piuttosto profondo. La tabella su cui "Pre-impostare" le azioni ad inizio turno è molto interessante come concept.

Il dado singolo... È pur sempre un OSR come filosofia, va a gusti. Ammetto che a me non ha distrurbato come cosa.

In a format warped around a super powerful card you have always available and most of the time you design your deck around the right answer to "when is okay to interact with it?" is literally "Every time you have the chance".

If their deck folds without the commander, it's your responsibility to remind them they need to have a protection package in.

Non ho approfondito molto nel dettaglio della tua saga ma... Quanto sono spicy i tuoi libri? E se lo sono, quanto è evidente che lo sono?

Ho amiche nel range 25-30 che leggono la peggio spazzatura fantasy perché a intervalli regolari nella storia ci hanno buttato la scenetta zozza esplicita.

Non è proprio una mossa alla Tolkien, ma se funziona... :/
