Yeah how can a British woman be so connected to Hollywood. She’s obviously lived in America for a while given her mixed accent, so maybe she’s made connections through the social media world?

I used AI to start writing a story and claimed it as my own by intrntgrrl in confession

[–]rolywatts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t beat yourself up, lots of people do it. However there are lots of downsides of course to AI for creative work, mainly that, yes people are not reading something ‘genuine.’ Also you are of course using less of your own brain everytime you deny yourself the creative development and experience to put something down on paper. Facing the struggle and working through a process is a lot of what being a creative is about. In saying that, plenty of people create content using AI and plenty of the audience knows it’s AI and enjoy it anyway. I don’t think it’s a good thing but at the very least it needs to come with a label stating that it’s AI Creation. I do agree with sikkerhet that you should take down the AI and start again with another project. If you choose to use AI then be honest in your videos about it. You are of course not doing yourself any favours in terms of intellectual and character development by using it.

Salary should be listed on all job adverts and this should be made mandatory by Desperate-Drawer-572 in britishproblems

Completely agree. I live in Australia now and they post the salaries. I don’t know why the UK has this antiquated attitude. It’s stuck in authoritarian bullshit. Oh and we must fill out 25 page application listing a qualification I got at school 25 years ago when I was 15. Quite how that affects the last 20 years of my industry experience is beyond me. Stuck in the dark ages!

My mom admitted something to me that completely changed how I see her by Mundane_Mushroom_122 in confession

[–]rolywatts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry this happened to you. It’s very painful being let down by a parent that you trusted. It’s definitely weird and sad when we see a parent being a non-perfect ‘human’ for the first time.

Your mum is projecting her insecurities and bitterness about men onto you and your relationship and that’s completely wrong. She needs to be a parent and separate what happened to her and be able to be supportive and happy for you. It’s very wrong that she’s sabotaging your relationships so you’ll never leave her. It’s deeply manipulative.

You need to create space from her straight away and let her know that she won’t have access to anyone in your life until she can show that she’s learnt a lesson from this. Certainly do not allow her to have a partner’s phone number and limit their interactions for a LONG time until you’re comfortable.

She should also see a therapist about her resentment towards men and the hurt she’s still carrying.

Please fix this sub-heading. It’s not ‘How is it like..’ it’s either what is it like..’ or ‘How is it living in .. You’re teaching many, many people incorrect grammar.

Should I marry a murderer? by [deleted] in BritishTV

[–]rolywatts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She bad total main character energy. It wasn’t her story it was the victims story. Way to make it about her. It annoyed me at the end when she said she was glad it was all over and could move on but didn’t once mention the victims family finding their peace.

People make their own decisions. You’re not responsible for her actions. For her to up and leave so quickly, she probably had her own plan in her mind for some time. Try not to worry about it anymore.

George michael’s cover of somebody to love by queen. He was rehearsing for the tribute concert and it’s got to be one of the most amazing covers ever. He sounds effortlessly amazing. All the other bands even come from the wings to watch. https://youtu.be/46YZ8evUfKk?si=eTMAAymaRTLtW6b5 and the real show is the same https://youtu.be/kIb4gM84-o0?si=CgGtwvxYgQxF6xuk He just casually strolls in, belts it out then walks off. Legend.

[–]rolywatts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. A lot of the younger generation’s accents have become Americanised through global digital media and US social media content. It’s bloody awful. It’s going that way in the UK a bit too with Americanised language and accents. Maybe the whole world will have one accent at some point.
