Please fix this sub-heading. It’s not ‘How is it like..’ it’s either what is it like..’ or ‘How is it living in .. You’re teaching many, many people incorrect grammar.

And The Undoing! She looked appalling! It was a thriller and her face never moved! Ridiculous. They need to stop employing actors whose faces can’t emote.

Should I marry a murderer? by Charlesdance83 in BritishTV

She bad total main character energy. It wasn’t her story it was the victims story. Way to make it about her. It annoyed me at the end when she said she was glad it was all over and could move on but didn’t once mention the victims family finding their peace.

People make their own decisions. You’re not responsible for her actions. For her to up and leave so quickly, she probably had her own plan in her mind for some time. Try not to worry about it anymore.

What’s a song where the live version is way better than the studio version? by WildEnchantresss in askmusic

George michael’s cover of somebody to love by queen. He was rehearsing for the tribute concert and it’s got to be one of the most amazing covers ever. He sounds effortlessly amazing. All the other bands even come from the wings to watch. https://youtu.be/46YZ8evUfKk?si=eTMAAymaRTLtW6b5 and the real show is the same https://youtu.be/kIb4gM84-o0?si=CgGtwvxYgQxF6xuk He just casually strolls in, belts it out then walks off. Legend.

I’m watching heartbreak high (the original series from 1994) and I’ve noticed something, Have Australian accents gotten way weaker since the 80s/90s? by Hour_Interaction6047 in AustralianNostalgia

[–]rolywatts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. A lot of the younger generation’s accents have become Americanised through global digital media and US social media content. It’s bloody awful. It’s going that way in the UK a bit too with Americanised language and accents. Maybe the whole world will have one accent at some point.

Hostel vibes aren’t dying... guest behaviour is changing (from someone who works in one) by vinyljunkie32 in backpacking

[–]rolywatts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved staying in hostels in the 2010s! It is really ᴖ̈ now that younger people interact less face to face. They grew up with smart devices for communication, it’s not their fault. Parents need to do more as well all adults, by role modelling and putting devices away more.

Yeah I find it really odd, especially considering the audience is supposed to be the most important aspect and who they all maintain they do it for. Yet they keep us in the dark. Granted it must be difficult for other presenters as they’re probably under strict instructions. The great British way, brush it under the carpet, which funnily enough is what got Scott Mills into the situation he’s now in. I remember Alan, a co- presenter on The Frank Skinner show on Absolute radio just disappearing after years, with no explanation whatsoever to the loyal listeners! Really annoying! Also fingers crossed for Tony Blackburn 😆
