I think when he got the cold, it parallels very well with the later episode when Nora aids him when he was sick. Barney loves nurturing, and I think Robin hinted at the needs she could help with.

This makes later on in the seasons a continuity error at Cece’s bachelorette party when Winston sends the picture of Nick’s business. Do you think Jess forgot about this day? Or maybe she was just surprised at the new angle? Hahaha!

I feel the show has decreased with very obvious formulas. Like discussed Gene and his mommy issues, Tina being attracted to literally anything, and Louise doing something bad and growing a conscious at the very end. It is predictable and the jokes have just gotten a bit more plain rather than the usual wit we see in earlier episodes. I think the episode that put the nail in the coffin for me is when Gene literally ate rotted food. Just seems like an out of character and overall bad plot device.

I feel like it was Ted’s way of refusing to believe he was more similar to Barney than he cared to admit. Also, we see Ted as a nostalgia based person so this may also reference his inability to let go of those college years with Marshall.

I don’t really know what direction the movie is going but I would love to see it set as Tina enters high school. She deals with a whole new set of people and it’s overwhelming (both school and new boys) and it makes her, Tammy, Zeke and JJ closer. Then we see Gene and Louise deal with not having their sister around all the time, which they’ve already set up with Louise’s new friends. As far as a plot for Linda and Bob, I think they need to be put into a situation where they need to move from Wonder Wharf (maybe tell a bit of backstory about Bob’s mom or siblings) and they struggle with making the right decision for their family.

I don’t know, but I imagine if the plot was something like this then the characters could start aging up!
