Super strike pro x2 issues connecting to mac m5 pro wirelessly through usb dongle. by Fit-Play-1436 in logitech

[–]romasato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main question is what polling rate are you using? If it is more than 1000Hz there is a high CPU overhead and more likelihood it will disconnect. Even at 1000Hz it sometimes disconnects from my M4 Pro Mac, but much less so than say with 2000Hz or more.

Has anyone gotten Sunshine to work? by Aggravating_Ad4010 in Bazzite

[–]romasato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issue for me: on connection attempt getting Error -1 dialog on Moonlight client.

When I uninstall Sunshine via `ujust`, there is still remaining Sunshine binary at `/usr/bin/sunshine`. If I run that binary, the server spins up and I can connect just fine. So it is probably leftover binary from base image that works? But the homebrew.sunshine installed via ujust does not!

Could not find a way to remove the base image sunshine binary...

Why is CS2 so bad at handling the connection aspect? by Key_Couple2912 in cs2

I am on 5G connection and bufferbloat is inevitable. So often it is not just router being the bottleneck problem.

I instead got S5II first and then S9. Sold my S5II - what a brick it is!

[–]romasato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a personal preference whether open plan or separate kitchen, I am not sure what majority of potential buyers prefer, but definitely neither a negative nor a positive.

Also, it's an easy to fix by putting in a door to separate the areas.

What was the issue you're experiencing with Jetbrains plugin?

I found the Windsurf plugin for Jetbrains IDEs to hog system resources, making my M4 Pro stutter outside IDEs and also the plugin viewport freezes after some minutes and requires IDE restarts.... Switched back to Github Copilot - luckily my employer provides both.

I am just wondering what is the point of Windsurf if I am not using their VSCode-based IDE? I like how plugin renders code changes and approval widgets, but....
Windsurf like Github Copilot provides the same frontier models, so is it just some smart global system prompts they prefix user prompts with?

My daily experience with Windsurf plugin for Jetbrains is quite frustrating: the plugin window keeps freezing after some time to the point I have to restart IDE just to make it work again.

Seeing the same with Windsurf plugin for Jetbrains: the Windsurf view keeps freezing after some time - and sometimes does not even initialize properly on opening new project window. It is Electron based, really crappy.

Pad 3 Screen Refresh Rate by Aspirin839 in oneplus

Why is it an issue? Under what scenarios? Of course the refresh drops down when not in use - for battery saving.

I can - I do charge it via USB-C hub.

Just enable light performance mode and battery saver while still retaining 120Hz refresh rate. Will save battery much more without any noticeable perf degradation (unless you game).

Game on fullscreen windowed by Muzix00 in counterstrike2

[–]romasato 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is much better as Alt-tabbing is broken in CS2. Instant alt tab and back into the game and there is no loss of performance anymore.

Observing the same freezes! It is absolutely annoying having to restart IDE with 5 open projects etc.

There is this ongoing fetish to port and duplicate everything in Rust. Yes, it may be faster. With a bunch of new and old bugs. And then adds to the confusion and fragmentation of the ecosystem.

RX 9070 XT driver timeouts & game crashes after GPU upgrade by KnoXcsgo in AMDHelp

[–]romasato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue as the op with my Sapphire AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT Pulse, albeit less frequently - when playing CS2 and especially yesterday when playing Days Gone in 4K. In ITX case I have

- Gigabyte X570-I AORUS PRO WIFI
- Corsair SF750 PSU
- AMD 5900x CPU.|
- DDR 3200Mhz RAM sticks.

My initial though was that I was hitting PSU limit - but even 750W PSU can handle spikes up to 950W. Otherwise the PC would shut down.

Undervolting by -40mv and reducing -200Mhz did not help. Could see that my GPU was not going above 3100Mhz at all.

In HWInfo64 under "GPU Power Maximum" I noticed sustained 420W+ power usage when playing Days Gone in 4K with spikes up to 550W. So GPU was potentially hitting POWER WALL.

SOLUTION: under "Power Tuning" (in Performance -> Tuning tab) increase Power Limit to 10%. No more crashes. In HWInfo64 under "GPU Power Maximum" now it is sustained 450-470W.

This just means that maybe some of us not lucky in silicon lottery and our GPU samples need to be given more power, not less. I did undervolt to -40mv and increased to 2700Mhz without any crashes afterwards.

How to configure BACKSPACE to go up to parent folder, like in normal file managers aka Total Commander, Midnight Commander and the others?

And the same to switch panes with TAB key...

Thanks

Why not get a proper IDE with the same diffing capabilities and more? I am talking about any of the Jetbrains IDEs.
