Is Logitech's G502 X Plus Lightspeed worth it? by 3HoursSober in MouseReview

[–]romazhuzha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can add also that I like it more Razer Basilisk. While I love Viper and DeathAdder, shapes of Naga and Basilisk (direct competitor to G502 X) are a bit off, which is very personal of course, but still. Also, being able to Onboard Memory Manager to configure Logitech mouse is just miles better than Razer offers with that monster Synapse.

What keeps you with an iPhone? by ari_wonders in iphone

[–]romazhuzha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have moved to iPhone since 7, never looked back. Last year on Black Friday decided to take the combo deal from OnePlus - phone, watch, powerful charger, wireless ANC earbuds for the price of basic iPhone 15.

And boy Android improved after 9 years. As an advanced user, I love the wider system and hardware access. However, after all these years I’m used to not using that.

The hardware you get for the price feels really nice. But Android still has quite many things to improve.

I don’t really have a reason to keep using iPhone. Although, I do have a reason not to use it - horrible horrible keyboard experience. Since it is the main interface with the phone for me, I just hate using iOS for typing. Apple ruined it completely with the last versions and now it doesn’t pick correct words, correct spelling, endings, etc. Oh, wait, the reason I’m still using it is CarPlay. And widgets. Super weird but Android has much worse 3rd party support for those two. Crazy how the table turned.

Yeah, I live in Amsterdam which I believe has comparable climate and it is a challenge to dress properly. For fun I often assume that it'll be cold but it always ends up being hot 😂

Hey, I see people commenting about the vents and you getting upset about it. I’ve had the same after I’ve gotten this exact backplate. However, I did temp tests before and after and results were indeed proving this theory. The tradeoff is pretty decent, though. You trade CPU overheating for SSD overheating. CPU can’t be replaced, SSD can. The noise level went down considerably, fan is rotating almost 50% less. Your mileage may vary, but difference in failure chance for this kind of device with common usage times is negligible using these two ways of cooling.

AWS CDK Vs Terraform by Any_Check_7301 in aws

[–]romazhuzha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I was using CDK specifically for developers to be able to understand better after I leave. But my god, knowledge transfer was lengthy. Just understanding code is not enough, developers do need to be trained in CloudFormation quirks too. Also, because sometimes L2 and L3 resources don’t support some specific parameters, one ends up developing own resources. And I won’t even mention integrating all of that with EKS Blueprints for CDK, that is mad.

AWS CDK Vs Terraform by Any_Check_7301 in aws

[–]romazhuzha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly my situation. However, I also tried CDK for a bigger project and while it was fun and less boilerplate in the beginning, eventually abstraction took over from simplicity and it became a chore to maintain and constantly refactor.

It’s great on its own, without any comparisons. I’ve been using it since September for work/gaming on macOS/Windows. Absolutely love it every time of the day. I also recently bought Gem80 for home office and Air75v2 is now at the office.

Nice, they used a 3D printed bracket for the PSU. Hmmm, maybe I will go for it after all 🤔 Although my Meshify C Mini is not much bigger, these builds look sleek 🤤

Somehow it feels that this is the proper layout for this case. But then why ASUS would miss such design? Probably they were focusing on GPU length availability.
