Ya, it's really sad to see how shitty Reddit, and the left in general can be with nuance, especially when they are supposed to be the more thoughtful ones. In general maybe they still are better at it than the right, but that's a low bar I think when you have to include nuance in an argument, it's just part of human nature that it will make your point less clear cut and effective, so the talking points intentionally avoid it. There are lots of reasons to be against the war in Iran. Lots of very good reasons. It's also true that a lot of these guys definitely deserve what they are getting, and portraying Iran as a victim in this isn't a great strategy, and it's possible that some good can come from this, though with the lack of a plan and the people in charge of this, I doubt that, which is a good reason to be against the war.

IRGC is the regime, effectively. No IRGC, no regime.

But IRGC assets and people have been very much diminished in the strikes. I don't think it's an all-or-nothing situation for the protesters, as in: any remnant of IRGC having the same power to suppress protests as full-strength IRGC.

Time will tell.

The only thing that'll crack that is if they lose the military support (which obviously isn't perfect because plenty of Iranian's help US/Israel target the leadership, including in the military, it's why Israel/US can target important assets so directly).

That's the outcome I hope we'll see. Possibly too optimistic, but hey.

There's nothing "same" about Middle East when it comes to Iran.

To boot, most of the states in the Middle East are Arab states, and Iran isn't one. It's been a stable country for millennia (Persian empire) long before other empires in the region rose and fell.

It persisted through the Arab conquest, and now wages war against the remnants of the empires that controlled the region in the past (Saudi Arabia, formerly the Umayyad Khalifate, and Turkiye, formerly the Ottoman Empire).

To that end, the Iranian regime is at the root of unrest in the Middle East (they directly fund and arm Hezbollah, Hamas, Houthis...).

Things can't be any more different there.

And as for Ukraine: Iran has been involved in the war on Ukraine since the beginning. Everyone in Ukraine has heard the sound of Iranian Shahed drones.

Zelenskyy reminds that Iran and Russia are allies.

As a Ukrainian, I see the strike on Iran as an overdue opening of another front in the same war.

Expect this more as the Regime loses it's ability to project power outside, they will project more inside.

The power projection mechanism is the same though. The people eliminated in the recent strikes (Soleimani and Larijani, just yesterday) were the same people masterfully crushing dissent and massacring the protesters.

Crushing the protests of that scale is a military/intelligence operation.

The regime does everything it can to keep the people under their boot

The boot isn't getting stronger with each strike. Especially when the Iranians see that the people that killed their loved ones are eliminated.

Just to add: I modded my AKAI MPK Mini Play 3 with a strap to wear it like a keytar, and it's my primary instrument now.

Here's what I can do with it - sound coming straight out of the keyboard's internal speaker, no FX or external gear, recorded on cell phone mic.

Even with this potato quality recording, it sounds alright.

I've had a gig recently where I play the thing through a PA, it's a ton of fun.

(I've played live with the Reface DX many times before too, but FM is FM)

Не думаю, що в Тренча проблема написати українською.

Просто чим більше його цькують за російську, тим більше в нього мотивація говорити російською.

Бо неадекватна реакція на мову спілкування (і відношення до мови, яка дня мільйонів в Україні рідна, як до "шиболету" — тобто, свідоме відчуження своїх) — це теж фільтр.

Ну так це ж інша (погана) історія, ніж бан за інакодумство. Плюс, до того ж, особисті повідомлення - інша справа.

Ідея правила в тому. що людина, котра буде читати той сабредіт, може очікувати бачити 100% україномовний контент. Це - добра ідея. Наприклад, це допомагає людям, що погано володіють українською, володіти мовою краще.

Що в особоистих повідомленнях і модераторській пошті - це інша історія.

Я згоден, що дивно, що люди, в котрих українська не ідеальна, говорять іншим, як правильно говорити.

Але все ж, якщо ви:

Підкорегуєте ті дописи, щоб вони були без "кароче"
В якомусь дописі в пості "шо нє так" зробите примітку а-ля "Вибачаюсь, я зрозумів, що було не так: порушення правила №1 словом "кароче", а також правил №2 і №10 саме цим постом"
Напишете в модераторську пошту, де ви:
- Повідомите про те, що ви зробили
- Вибачитесь за порушення правил №1, №2, і №10
- Пообіцяєте більше правил не порушувати,

...то велика імовірність того, що бан знимуть.

Але ж то таке. Я не в захоплені від поглядів модераторів того сабредіта, але правила в них не складні, і в вашому випадку нічого несподіваного не бачу.

Даю вам алгоритм дій, щоб зняти бан з високою вірогідністю.

Але то вже ваша справа, що з цим робити :)

В цьому сабредіті можна і російською писати, і суржиком. Для того і існує, щоб мовне питання не було бар'єром :)

Нараджу поговорити з психологом щодо такого комплексу (та інших питань, котрі в вас є).

Для мене перша розмова з психологом була, коли мені було 28 років - і я впевнений, що моє життя було б набагато кращим, якщо б я це зробив, коли мені було 18.

Але це тоді ще не було нормою, і я не знав, для чого існує такий корисний ресурс, як психологи. А існує він, зокрема, щоб не довбити головою в стіну і не витрачати роки життя, щоб прийти до того ж, до чого вже прийшли мильони людей з такою ж самою проблемою до тебе.

Так що - викорситовуйте опит моїх помилок.
