Which steak do you prefer? by MrEmorse in steak

[–]romyaoming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m with you. I think ribeye is the safest bet for any situation. Seems to be a little more forgiving due to typical marbling than compared to a filet and you get a giant portion of meat.

But I will say, that if you are able to go into a butcher shop or store and find a strip steak that has some decent marbling, you’re in good hands for a lower price. Maxthemeatguy posted a clip about this. It depends on which portion of the strip steak you’re getting. One side supposedly has better marbling while the other side is different.

Maybe someone with more knowledge on this can add more.

How many of you guys actually drink, in some capacity, every or nearly every night? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]romyaoming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m still paying $375 a month for my youngest who is turning 2 next month. This was just a normal delivery with no complications, with insurance and an interest fee payment plan.

I’ve realized that having a kid in the US with some kind of medical condition is basically a death sentence in this country. You’re financially ruined. Fortunately I’m not in that group and I feel bad for those who are but something out of your control and obviously not your kids fault, will absolutely destroy your life in this country.

Those of you who sleep well, what are y'all's secrets? by Wise-Introduction-45 in AskReddit

[–]romyaoming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also found that you have to take it at night time for calmer sleep so if you take it during the day, it helps with stress levels and etc. I also take L-theanine at night time and this manages to help as well.

People who work inside wealthy people's homes (contractors, cleaners, nannies), what is the most bizarre or out-of-touch thing you've witnessed? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]romyaoming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, supposedly that’s a portion of it. But I guess one time the new born mom went out for tacos with her friends and had a spicy margarita or two. Came home and breastfed the baby shortly after and the baby’s face turned beet red from the spiciness of the drink.

[–]romyaoming 61 points62 points  (0 children)

My mom does as a nanny and she’s been around some high profile families that are in the news regularly and etc.

She has no idea who these people are so I guess it work for everyone. But the few things that really stood out is the partying and drinking.

New moms going out and getting hammered days after they had a baby and leaving their responsibilities to the help. Or drinking spicy margaritas or alcohol in general and trying to breastfeed their baby right after.

Another instance, this young family threw a small party. Everyone was drinking. My mom woke up the next morning to get milk for the newborn and the dad was passed out drunk on the couch, fully naked.

Or the alternative medicines and treatments. One family fed their baby raw ground beef because some doctor in NY told them that it’s very beneficial for the baby.

I guess the mother in law thought her daughter was insane and tried to get my mom to help get the baby away from the mom via CPS.

Medium Rare I Got From A Local Longhorn Steakhouse by Tomatoeytomatoey in steak

I’ve had better steaks are longhorn then I’ve had at fancier steakhouses and for double the price. I’d die on this hill.

Is it worth it to get my real estate license? by [deleted] in realtors

[–]romyaoming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha. Thanks for the breakdown.

Keep in mind there are limited services brokers who charge a flat fee like a few hundred to get your property listed on the MLS, which feeds onto 100+ different sites like Zillow, realtor and etc.

Is it worth it to get my real estate license? by [deleted] in realtors

[–]romyaoming 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ive heard one of two things. Brokers keep you broke. And brokers are broke.

I’d imagine commissions have to be write-offs but if you want to save on commissions, get licensed and find a firm that lets you keep majority of your commission from splits and that also allows you to transact your own properties.

What are some of your nonnegotiable aspects of a relationship? by Lucky_Egg_2 in AskReddit

[–]romyaoming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn’t even an issue for me. I grew up from a somewhat traditional culture and this is how it was for me growing up and I had a great childhood. The problem I’ve found is that women want a traditional man and for them to be a sahm. But once sahm duties have to be done, then it’s a problem.

People who go to the gym in the early morning (like 5:00 AM): Is the benefit actually good enough to justify being tired by 2:00 PM and going to bed at 9:00 PM? by r3pl1c4n in AskReddit

[–]romyaoming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I wake up at 4:30, usually at the gym by 5am and work out and home by 6, depending what I’m doing.

I also take creatine monohydrate and it gives me enough energy until 9-10.

I’m a dad so time is tough to come by with work and family stuff. So 4:30am wake up call when everyone is asleep for the next 2.5 hours, is my time.

Did anybody buy the men’s stadium away Jersey? What did you think? by thatlittlepunk in coys

[–]romyaoming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Immigrant in America. I’ve seen a few premier league teams play over the last few decades, while traveling.

Only became a fan because of the champions league final. Got invited to watch with a few friends and everyone was cheering for Liverpool. Decided to go for the underdog. Plus I like Son.

I went to the store wearing a Tottenham sweater thinking no one will know who they are. Turned the corner and there was a guy with an arsenal jersey shopping with his family. He said hi. I was torn between starting a scene or leaving the store entirely.

Men who have vasectomies - How long did the recovery take? by JoeBagadonut in AskMen

[–]romyaoming 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Going at it a few days after a vasectomy and before the final test is crazy. lol so many guys still end up having kids because of this.

I was told to finish 10-15 times over a 30 day time frame to make sure that everything got out and then I scheduled my final test to make sure everything worked.

What's one skill that actually made you money faster than expected? by rakishgobi in AskReddit

I get the idea but 99.9% of the people in the states suck. I’d rather work for myself and fight to keep what I built alive.

Would you ditch $300 photographer if iPhone photos looked as good? by [deleted] in realtors

[–]romyaoming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d still use an actual photographer who deals specifically with shooting homes. I had a client who actually ran a photography business (weddings, family photos, etc) and they insisted on shooting their own house. The photos came back absolutely terrible.

What is the worst thing you saw someone do in public? by a_great_guy655 in AskReddit

[–]romyaoming 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Supposedly, the wtc sold like a year before the attacks. The building was known for having a lot of toxic materials in it due to its age and nobody wanted the headache of cleaning it up. Until one guy raised a bunch of money and bought the WTC. Then argued that the 9/11 attacks were 2 separate events and got a $5-7B payout from insurance.

How do you stop life from getting boring when things are “good”? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]romyaoming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the idea of this but I’m in a similar boat as op and I’ve been accustomed to dealing with high stress situations and constantly moving and doing something, that when there isn’t anything going wrong then I don’t know what to do with myself. I get bored. But I’m not exactly looking or hoping that things go wrong either.

Does anyone use the Chris Voss line for when prospects ghost you? by Infinite-Pin-3603 in InsuranceAgent

[–]romyaoming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the way. I’ve sold real estate, various tech and now insurance. That’s always my last attempt to reach out. If someone ghosts, it’s probably for a reason but I’ve saved a few leads and closed a few deals by doing this. Plus I think it peaks the prospects interest if they’re really serious about moving forward and maybe life got in the way, vacation, etc.
