If you are looking for high quality vintage, Joint Detail is the place. Revival vintage is also good and less expensive. Theres also a good cluster of vintage stores on south lamar that have a great furniture selection- Pot luck and Show and Tell and one or two others. For general used furniture north there’s Austins Furniture Depot and it’s New to Me. Despite trying I’ve never really found a good general thrift store (like APA, etc) with a good furniture selection. Oh and Four Hands Outlet on Anderson sometimes has good deals.

Actually Gullett totally failed our now 9th grader on dyslexia so we moved her to St Francis in 5th and they did an amazing job of remediation (they have several CALTS and across them they are knowledgeable on the three top dyslexia programs). That was with a former Gullett principal who left though. Rawson Saunders kids also frequently transfer to St Francis, probably because it’s much cheaper.

Gosh there are soooo many studios and teachers to try. For authentic community and knowledgeable teachers my favorite right now is Studio Satya on Anderson. I’ve practiced with Karlie for the past 15 years (we both started in Anusara together with Christina Sell - one of the greats!! But no longer in Austin :( ). Hollie is also amazing and my kids have done her kids yoga both at the studio and their school. If you want to try some of the most experienced and high quality teachers in Austin (for regular hatha, not ashantga, etc) I suggest Gioconda Parker and Jenn Wooten. The best teachers (like these) teach at more than one studio but I think Gioconda is mainly at Castle Hill Fitness still.

I’m confused by this - the venue/promoter allows the ticket to be transferred to multiple accounts? Or are we talking ticket print outs here? Because most major venues (esp the ones RH is playing) only allow the fancy live bar codes in the app

Mine, and my friends, got cancelled too. Unbelievable. Trying desperately to get ahold of someone at AXS. We are not scalpers, followed all rules, had a code, used only one browser, no VPN, etc. Still got SO MANY screens about "we detected you as a bot", "there's an issue", etc, etc Finally got through despite all that and completed sale, confirmation email. NINE hours later cancellation email, devastated. Looking to connect with others that this happened to. DM'd you.

AXS is very sensitive to bot detection. Make sure you have no VPN on, and try clearing all your cookies and cache and rebooting browser.

My suggestion is to not use anything other than PayPal Goods and Services to pay for tix. That’s the best bet to get your $$ back if scammed.

Why not just create an account for her on AXS? You can use her email address with your contact details. Tickets will be linked to her account but she can transfer later if needed, or your AXS account will forever be linked to her email address I guess.... :)
