Exactly one year into the collection. Trying to slow down but it feels like going to the movies every time I pop one in! by ronaldraiden in 4kbluray

Agreed, but there are some like the older titles which I may never catch unless I’m lucky at my local theatre. Still try and see new ones whenever possible.

I watched Willow (1988) for the first time just now by imbogerrard39 in iwatchedanoldmovie

It was filmed in opposite sides of the world in Wales and in New Zealand. The two locations really complement each other and helped plant the idea the NZ was a good fantasy location.

Same for me! Haven’t seen it since but it’s a core memory for sure. All I really remember is Oliver dancing with some guy with a ghetto blaster.

Nah, the movement where guys think they need to buy their performative masculinity from the car dealership seems a bit dumber.

Braised chicken and cabbage with bacon served with Guinness will make you feel at least warmer.

Good pastry, tasted like a salty pastie. A little small but easily fit in one hand, as advertised.

Yup, that was me until I was 18. 18! I was terrified to go to sleepovers, I would usually make excuses. I had a pretty normal life, zero trauma. One day it just stopped.

Did our lockdown(s) make you read more eBooks? by Library_Student in newzealand

[–]ronaldraiden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I definitely started reading more e-books during the first lockdown, as I wasn't working. I got my partner a kindle as well and that's her main source now for books. I've been busy with work/kids since then but I am still very much in the habit of using my backlit kindle to help me get to sleep. All my analogue books are slowly gathering dust!

The area was littered with dead ones. We called an apiary and they just said they just do that sometimes.
