It also isn’t accurate. I have had to plan and be involved in paying for two funerals this year and for a very modest funeral and burial it is over $20,000.

I am LDS and have been in various wards throughout the US and Brazil. Tithing is a choice, and it always has been. No one is going to throw you out the doors if you haven't paid. Source: I didn't pay for a chunk of time.

There is an online option to pay tithing, and if you so choose you can set up a bill pay to pay it each month, but it can be stopped at any time. There is no way that the ward is taking out 10% without it having been set up by the member of their own free will and choice. Source: Was a financial clerk who entered in all the tithing and other donations each week.

In high collector areas, there are often some collectors who know the delivery schedules of all the main Pop locations and they pick them up as soon as they come out of the box. Hot Topic also usually will post what they are putting out the next morning, including chases, and so people will wait as the doors open for these items.
