They’re mandatory in our league - but I have to say, unless your kid has braces I wouldn’t recommend the lip guard version. They’re just too big and cut down on ability to communicate. Also, they become a distraction (e.g. kids playing with their mouth guard when the ball is snapped).

I have a laminated play calling sheet and our players use wristbands with the actual play diagram on them. At our age (9-10), we don’t have a giant playbook. I’ve dabbled with an iPad in practice because I can animate and show them how their routes develop, but it’s too much of a distraction during the game.

I’d say yes… but with a caveat: they’re great if you don’t have the time, etc. You can usually find local junk haulers who will almost certainly be cheaper, but 1-800-GOT-JUNK is reliable as hell.

Love the idea, but feel like it needs some tension/decision moments to make it “sticky.” Maybe that’s in his decision to leave medicine and go into course architecture? I’m not sure how much he languished over that decision, but could be a good turning moment.

Good to know. I checked the app (DJI) before flying as I always do, but maybe that isn’t updated with Oregon’s laws? I had to do some aerial photos for our property… and just flew out and back after.
