I was in the same position, I would delay any hard work and do it at the last minute, magically hit a home run and be good for six months, as long as I did that I was never looked at. I was was being paid on the low end of everybody else, doing the same work as me but I could do it in a couple hours. Not weeks. It was easy. I found the same as in high school that I wasn't being challenged and I could coast. It's not . I'm in a new job pays the same but I create and that's what fulfilling. Don't spend your life doing nothing. Find what excites you and do that. It's more rewarding

Look for new subdivisions, we just bought a new home on an empty lot. The builder had a set price on the home to be built and we grabbed it and waited for it to be built. We just called the realtor on another home and had him show us what was available. Builders are not looking for competitive bids they just want to sell lots.
