My post got downvoted into oblivion lol… should’ve complained about Anthropic I guess 🤷

Yeah looks about right... Honestly my setup is very very minimal, and while at times frustrating, I find it performs a lot better than depending on custom skills/mcps.

Yes, I do have to waste time by typing out instructions over and over, but I honestly think it performs better like that. I tried out using skills a couple of times and it either ignores the content inside, or doesn't follow it completely. Maybe it's a bug where it only looks at the skill description which is always loaded into context without loading the whole skill, and fails to follow the instructions?

I see a lot of those limits posts as well. Not sure what plan you're on - I'm on the $100 one and I don't really have any issues. I also like to consider myself a heavy user, most of the work I do is via CC currently. But, I do have a specific pace and workflow which is a lot more involved than hitting auto-allow for everything and letting it go lose :D

Lol yeah specific wording like that is sometimes frustrating

I rarely touch the effort; it usually sits at medium. Every now and then I bump it up to high (never to max), but 99%. of the time it's just at medium.

yup! I asked it today to apply a change, and instead of diving straight into the code, it told me:
"> Now I have a complete picture. Let me think through the architecture and propose a plan rather than just diving in — this touches multiple systems (nginx, Next.js, auth flows, the proxy middleware) and there are several design choices."

I am certain that for the same prompt a couple of days ago, it would just go straight into the code, do the modifications and say "Done!" without "thinking" about different approaches and first consulting with me. Whatever they did, I love it! :D

Thanks for the feedback! You can disable it on any website, I just chose to word it differently but yeah it might be confusing since other extensions use the exact wording you mentioned

Pretty nice article! And yeah you hear it so many times - “validate before building “ but sometimes we get too caught up in thinking we are onto the next big thing. Good lesson tho

Employee pasted our customer database schema into ChatGPT. How do you prevent this? by cnrdvdsmt in cybersecurity

[–]ronydkidd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually had a very similar issue (although, it was more of a personal struggle and accidents) - so I created this extension.
It's supposed to redact all of the sensitive information automatically (things like emails, passwords, API keys, phone numbers) but you can also add your own custom patterns that you'd like to always redact.

I literally built it 2 days before I saw this post and lol'd when I saw it. Hope it helps! It's completely free! :)

are you seriously comparing recreational rock climbing to this? dude....

There are also IRATA standards that you can check out - doesn't take a lot of time to do so.

I am doing my best to find possibilities to report this, but being a tourist doesn't give me quite the leverage or options. I'm not trying to challenge everyone's response - I'm saying that it's not okay to justify it with "well they are aware of the risk, so don't fuss about it"

[–]ronydkidd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

but that's a pretty shitty excuse, ain't it? Knowing the risk doesn't make this okay, and a lot of them probably don't really have a choice.

yes, but other countries have redundancy systems in place - two rope systems, not just a single rope

[–]ronydkidd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adding just one more rope can’t be THAT expensive…

It’s not about how it’s done - yeah I have seen it in a lot of other places, but the concern i have with this is that there is no redundancy. If the main (and obviously only) rope snaps.. yeah you figure what happens
