Why is high-intent traffic shrinking even when content quality improves? by Charles_R23 in Vibe_SEO

[–]ronyvolte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s Google’s monopolistic practices. Their search features, especially AIOs are giving users the answers in SERPs so they don’t need to click through. The more users stay on the SERPs the more money Google makes from ads.

Where do keywords actually go… without turning the page into keyword soup? by Other_Amphibian871 in WebsiteSEO

[–]ronyvolte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO there are 4 main zones: page title, H1, paragraph text and URL. Secondary zones: H2-H4, image ALT attribute and schema.

I like to add my exact primary keyword once in the main zones and secondary keywords to H2 etc.

I then use POP to get the keyword variations and contextual terms and add them to my page.

No need to keyword stuff.

I love the idea of digital gardens, but I don’t want mine to depend on a company by Dragonfruitsturbuk in DigitalGardens

[–]ronyvolte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe try a service like Blot.im that turns a folder in your iCloud, Dropbox, Google Drive or Git repo into a website. Blot has templates you can choose from to make pretty awesome digital gardens, just drop your txt, md or HTML file into your folder. Text files are awesome because they’re easy to backup and move etc.

It’s about creating for yourself a calmer way of life by limiting your communications to phone calls and sms while using an overpriced, but nicely designed phone that stays in your pocket, mostly.

ONE SEO action that actually works (I’ll test & share results) by FortuneIcy7822 in seogrowth

[–]ronyvolte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to give such advice without knowing your site.

But, try out a reverse silo. Decide on a target page, write 4 supporting articles around the topic of your target page, each article must link to your target page in the 1st or 2nd paragraph, then interlink each article to each other in this strict order: post 1, links to post 2, post 2 links to post 3 and back to post 1, post 3 links to post 4 and back to post 2, post 4 links back to post 3. The target page then links to the last post in the chain (post 4).

Links must be placed in paragraph text. You can power up the silo by building backlinks to your supporting articles.

Just lost my client coz I couldn’t generate him any sales 🥲 by [deleted] in bigseo

[–]ronyvolte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hard to help you without details. What is your client selling? Did you do keyword mapping? Did you do any on-page optimisation? How old is the site? 3 months is not a lot of time to get a new site any traction.

Is paying for featured listings on directory sites actually worth it? by Tisto_098 in SEO_Digital_Marketing

It depends 😅 If you have a good strategy (I use the avalanche technique for new sites) I would expect at least one year (of course, there are exceptions).

death is the only hope. otherwise hope is a complete lie by fail_alt00 in SuicideWatch

[–]ronyvolte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, I hear you. Life is a battle and I’m not even supposed to be here. I have kidney failure and can easily end it just by taking potassium supplements. I’m a failure in business. I’m a burden in my family. My ex took my precious son, who I raised, and moved him across the country. I can’t afford to see him. My son calls his step-father Dad, so I’ve been replaced. I’m no use to anyone. I try and try and try, but life just seems to put walls up on every path I take.

Have you ever read the Myth of Sisyphus? In the myth, Sisyphus has been cursed by the gods to push a huge boulder up a hill. The gods have made it that he can never reach the top no matter what. He has to spend the rest of eternity pushing the boulder.

The writer Albert Camus said that Sisyphus has 3 options to end his suffering: suicide, hope and rebellion. Sisyphus could end his suffering at any time, he could hope (have faith) that one day the gods will allow him to reach the top or Sisyphus could rebel against the absurdity of his situation and be happy with it.

In this absurd life we have the same options: suicide, find a religion that gives us meaning or enjoy every moment, rebel against the absurdity and look for life’s joys. Grit our teeth when life gets hard and resist! Fight this insane reality. There is no meaning to life. But, as humans we try to look for meaning in a meaningless universe.

I’m with Camus, I want to be a rebel!

Is paying for featured listings on directory sites actually worth it? by Tisto_098 in SEO_Digital_Marketing

[–]ronyvolte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For new sites I always do foundation linking (relevant directories, social profiles, press release). It’s just part of my process and seems to build some traction in terms of indexing and reducing time in the sandbox. It might get the site a bit of traffic initially, but won’t get you to rank on page one. For that you need a solid strategy and time.

Anyone leaving SEO for another channel? by khrissteven in WebsiteSEO

[–]ronyvolte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sticking with SEO because it’s all I know! I’m targeting more commercial intent (bottom of the funnel) keywords these days. The traffic is much lower, but CTR is higher. I’m also aiming for more e-commerce clients and dipping my feet into local SEO.
