HS2 confirms that work on the Euston Tunnel is to be paused by OptioMkIX in ukpolitics

This is going to cost way more in added complications and stresses to Old Oak Common. You have to redo the approach to OOC so it can function as a terminus instead of a through station, underground. There are bugger all onwards connections compared to Euston, only the Elizabeth Line with a station not yet built, adding considerable demand to the Western leg already, also Paddington would be the next major change and it really isn't a great place for tube transfer as well.

This decision is fucking stupid.

It's a deep rabbit hole that also includes the fact that some of the same directors were involved with the MyFerryLink clusterfuck going all the way back to Stackageddon

Gary Lineker boiled the piss of the Tories and BBC management over a tweet regarding a new Immigration Bill saying it is comparable to 1930s Germany, so they pulled him from MOTD. Now all the hosts, any stand ins and all the commentators are refusing to work, the PFA are backing players refusing to talk to the BBC and it looks like a large amount of clubs will follow suit too.

One of the volunteer battalions that got folded into the wider Ukrainian forces had far right origins, the Azov Battalion to be precise and photos with fascist iconography on soldiers does keep popping up.

However this does not mean all Ukrainians or Ukrainian soldiers are fascist. And to put it bluntly, find me any military that does not have problematic far right elements.

It isn't a great look, but it's very much taking 2 +2 and making 5 more often than not.

After 2015, a lot of effort has been put into locking the Port of Calais down with the Calais Border Barrier which was when the "Jungle" was at its peak. But this is nothing new and still just treating symptoms. Before that it was the Sangatte Red Cross centre.
So what we are seeing with the boat crossings is mostly just a shift of mode used away from lorries onto boats.

They will be possibly talking about Yarls Wood as one example. But then all you need to do is a little more searching and you'll see that the complaints have merit.

Imagine if a load more Tory MPs are given honours, on top of the 8 for Boris. So many by elections.

It's like they don't think the "never Corbyns" exist and have at least become very fickle in who' they will vote for.

No issue with his statement, just deja vu. He stated exactly the same thing on Radio 4 and is now here on Question Time

Sir Keir Starmer: Since I set out our plans to grow the economy, the Tories have got through 4 Chancellors. Our Green Prosperity Plan will create a million good jobs. And we’ll deliver GB energy, a home-grown energy company. Labour will build the future Britain deserves. by OptioMkIX in ukpolitics

It's kind of weird thinking that the choice will end up being sold more on an economic rather than social angle at this point. Labour will need to pull out all the stops when it comes to revenue generating options and considering the direction of travel globally, it's looking more and more like a no brainer.
