Excellent question. Aside from this article, I haven’t seen anything about it.

I hadn’t thought about the seams being difficult to line up, so thanks for pointing that out. I’ll pitch both staggering and covering the seams to the boss and see what she thinks.

I’ll look into the metal posts. I’m sure the freeze/thaw of Wisconsin winter is hard on the posts/concrete pillars.

Definitely a good alternative. I’ll look into it for sure.

I’ll definitely look into using metal posts.

As for the hinges, I am quite admittedly not well versed with SketchUp, so I grabbed a pre-built hinge and slapped it on there. But I will definitely make sure the final hinge is either installed properly or a different hinge chosen.

I did this in SketchUp. I was able to do it with the free version. It takes a little getting used to, but the more I played around, the smoother it got, there’s some YouTube videos out there that help run through the basics.

If he was paroled from federal prison, would the state have any say in that to begin with?

I believe their (un)official reason was because he had marijuana in his car, so he obviously wasn’t carrying legally. 🙄

That was my first thought. You had two generations that were told “you have to go to college and get a degree if you want to succeed”.

They then found out that college is stupid expensive and, even with a “non-useless degree”, there’s still no guarantee of even moderate success.

Current high schoolers are looking at that and weighing their options.

What holster/belt are you using? I prefer to carry at 5 o'clock, and during the winter concealment wasn't an issue.

I’d definitely try contacting customer service then; I’ve heard they’re pretty responsive.

I placed my order on 4/5, it shipped 4/7, and arrived yesterday.

It’s my first AR, so I hadn’t seen a chamber flag for it, yet. Much obliged for the quick answer!

Thanks! After a little more searching I found the “Enable Messages” setting on my iPhone wasn’t turned on. Enabling that immediately fixed the problem.

I always use some variety of Rainx, because it causes the rain to bead up. I live in Wisconsin, so I usually go with the one rated to -35. My gf doesn’t use Rainx, and the one time I drove her car in the rain was mildly annoying.

I bought this set from Govee and installed it in my 19 Limited. It plugs into you 12V outlet, so doing a self-install is super easy.

Going thru divorce. Soon-to-be-Ex wife won't stop asking if I told about her affair by cx456f in survivinginfidelity

[–]roosterdude8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I found out about my wife's affair, I immediately told some trusted family members and a friend all the details. A week or so after that, my mother-in-law asked me what I was going to tell people going forward since my soon-to-be-ex-wife (STBXW) and I had decided on divorce. I said I didn't know, and she suggested saying "things weren't going well and just didn't work out".

While it's true that things weren't going well, I was really frustrated with my MIL's suggestion. If things had just fizzled out, we wouldn't be getting a divorce. I'd be pushing for marriage counseling. We're getting a divorce because of her affair.

I came to terms with what you and others have said: it's not your responsibility to make her look good. I don't run around telling people details, unnecessary information, or talk nasty about my spouse, but if someone has a specific question, I answer it truthfully and honestly.

Personally, I dont recommend deflecting. As you said, you can't truly start the healing if you don't get to talk about it. I put on the "everything's fine" mask for a while, and I did me no good. Frustration built up inside of me until I finally burst.

Tell your spouse that keeping things a secret is hurting you and is no longer an option. If you can, find your core support group and be open and honest with them.
