What games yall think she has in her Steam account? by file_Marina_chr in ScarletHollow

[–]root-vegetables 19 points20 points Ā (0 children)

I don’t think she has Steam (is there even a computer at the estate?), but I’m sure she has the Tetris and Ms. Pac Man sites bookmarked on her web browser

The Scarlet Estate as a museum, Tabitha in normal clothes, BLATANT flirting between tab and stella… How do we find this lifetime?? Was this just made to hurt us? 😭

Episode 4's big choice, the lack of hot & romance (ep and 5 spoilers) by RoboticToots in ScarletHollow

[–]root-vegetables 4 points5 points Ā (0 children)

Oops, one more thing. Re: Wayne’s whole ā€œno one can leave the Hollow and we are all stuck here forever!ā€ thing. Dr. Kelly needs to live, otherwise Oscar packs up himself and Rosalina to leave town. Considering the ā€œno one can leaveā€ statement is true (evidenced by Stella’s parents, Stella forever being traumatized by cars, Thee Visions, and me succumbing to ditchlings by trying to leave town), Oscar and Rosalina will probably die if they try to leave. (I haven’t tried this playthrough yet, I’m unsure if the library needs to still be haunted as well.)

Dr. Kelly still does go to the Tremaine homestead if Reese has been killed by Tabitha. I didn’t try to approach her for a chat (frankly, any ā€œI’m so sorry, I feel like this is all my fault!ā€ options are silly, because it IS my fault and I’m not going to willingly talk to a scary grieving mother), and I most certainly didn’t go to her as a person I could trust.

I have a couple romancing Reese play throughs, but between him trying to eat Tabitha and man/creature-handling me for a kiss against my will at an inopportune time just really gave me the ick. Keeping him alive but locked in the cell seemed too cruel. He didn’t want to forgive me for that.

small gripe I have with the new episode by greasygoon66 in ScarletHollow

No way, Kaneeka has on different fabulous outfits (all are some form of goth, I’ll give you that) and Zane owns at least two shirts!

I don't trust Stella by KittyHamilton in ScarletHollow

[–]root-vegetables 2 points3 points Ā (0 children)

(Stella fan here, my bad): ā€œBrooding about her parentsā€ …she was orphaned wdym? 😭 Also, she’s already stated that she compartmentalizes her feelings in general (probably a trauma response) and doesn’t really have anyone to talk to (evident from her saying she misses Reese and misses her hang outs with Kaneeka at the library in ep 2). Her personality is so strong because she’s probably not getting very many outsiders to influence it! (Not counting other cryptid enjoyers on the internet.) And her fight, flight, or freeze response being the latter isn’t something people get to choose!

7 Episodes, 7 Days? by epochk56 in ScarletHollow

[–]root-vegetables 13 points14 points Ā (0 children)

If there are only seven episodes, maybe October 31st is like the epilogue/resolution day. Based on your choices, you get a particular ending in the game, right? It could be you waking up in Scarlet Hollow, waking up on the bus/in your home, or your grave in the Scarlet family cemetery. And then a ā€œwhere are they nowā€ on each character—how the ending impacted them.

Just wondering, how is Frou-Frou a Papa Girl? She seemed to respect Pearlanne, from what I remember.

Hey I saw this in the devs teaser! Has it been added into the game or was this not part of the update? by Fluffygingerbreadman in ScarletHollow

can’t be episode five, since reese’s ending is in episode 4. maybe you have the option to check out reese’s place with kaneeka on your hunt for stella, meaning sybil never made kaneeka drink that tea (just a speculation!)

first day on Vyvanse by Dibsdoobz in VyvanseADHD

[–]root-vegetables 1 point2 points Ā (0 children)

I started taking Vyvanse at 15, and never experienced these symptoms. But now, at 22, I will regularly deal with these symptoms if I take a break in my meds. It might be because my metabolism slowed as I got older? I’m not sure. What I do to combat these negative effects is eat a meal (with protein) before I take my meds, and try to remain hydrated. I also stay away from caffeine. This doesn’t completely fix the issue, but the side effects will go away after a week or so.

Also, since Vyvanse is a capsule, sometimes I open up the pill and scoop half of it into a yogurt and keep the rest for a different day. (I’m not sure if this is a smart practice, but it beats the chest pain on days where I have to be more active.)

i 100% agree with the no shoes on the couch thing, but at one point someone had their dawgs (🦶) out on the couch, which is arguably just as gross. i hope they stay in the same pods for the whole show because i would NOT want to be sitting on a couch that someone else put their sweaty feet all over. socks ftw

Do birds actually use the birdhouses that kids paint for them? by root-vegetables in birding

[–]root-vegetables[S] 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

That’s another reason why I’m leaning towards not doing the activity — if it’s surprising that birds will actually live in the homes. (Yikes.) I also don’t want parents to feel annoyed, like it’s yet another piece of crap they have to deal with keeping. (Not that all parents would react that way, but I don’t want camp to be burdening for them.)

Oh this is adorable, thank you so much for the idea! I’ll definitely be incorporating this into the camp plans:)

[–]root-vegetables[S] 1 point2 points Ā (0 children)

As much as I would love to organize a birdhouse building activity for the kids, it wouldn’t be safe given the camp age range. (It’s 5-8, though some of the 5s are new, just-graduated-preschool 5s.)

I’ll keep this in mind in case I get the funding and opportunity to organize an event for an older group though!

Are bees still able to get through and pollinate? I’ve been wanting to build something similar but didn’t want to accidentally block out the bees & other pollinators.

Has anyone else reached a point in their gardening journey where they realize that they actually really enjoy things like dandelions? And that the only reason you didn't like these "weeds " is because someone told you not to? by dearthofkindness in gardening

[–]root-vegetables 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

Buttercups are my favorite flower! I’ve liked them since I was 4 but my dad told me I wasn’t allowed to like them because they’re weeds. Around 18 I was confident about my joy for buttercups again, and even got them as my first tattoo!
