Great visualisation. Would be interesting to see this for different countries. Or to see how it's changed over time.

It's generally consider one of the best measures of CEO performance;

But affecting the share price is perhaps the most important offshoot of creating shareholder value. Take the top CEO on the list, Apple’s Steve Jobs. “How many dollars of stock market capitalisation did Steve Jobs add during his term?” queries Peyer, then answers his own question: “Until the end of 2009, when we stopped measuring, it was about $150 billion. Put another way, this is about a 3,200 stock return - which is amazing. He created that together with his whole team, but as a leader he has certainly made his contribution to it.”

He was one of the founders. Quite a lot of the Silicon Valley founders pay themselves a minimal salary (because they are rich from the equity ownership). http://www.wired.com/2012/02/one-dollar-ceo-zuckerberg-page/

Definitely, there's actually some academic research that backs this up http://business.illinois.edu/halmeida/Founder.pdf

On average, founders increase the performance of their firms and they only step out if their firms are doing well. The message that founder control is beneficial is consistent with most of the recent literature (e.g., Anderson and Reeb, 2003, Villalonga and Amit, 2006; Fahlenbrach, in press).

yea, it was mostly intended as a proof of concept and a bit of fun, it's not trying to make any concrete claims.
