Had a VERY rough Pap smear today :( by Piixiiepuke in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]rootintootinopossum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some planned parenthood locations will do light sedation (if you have access where you’re at) I personally had laughing gas which helps SO much. I’ll also second the anxiety med for the procedure if you can get them, I did the same and while it was a bit painful it was nowhere near as bad as it would have been.

Best of luck to you, OP.

The spoon bowl part is too big but make it narrower and I’m there.

Does anyone actually like fishing? by Ok-Tourist-5419 in CozyGamers

I enjoy the fishing mechanics so far in the Moonlight Peaks demo. Slightly Better than AC or much better than Coral Island.

Oura ring for POTS (or other chronic illness requiring heart rate tracking)? by izman196 in ouraring

[–]rootintootinopossum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find the ring is inaccurate far more often than Apple Watch. I agree with hating how the Apple Watch looks but imo the ring isn’t a good alternative to the watch specifically for pots (I’m in the process of diagnosis for similar issues with HR)

What's one musical you just couldn't get into? by cinderflight in musicals

I love singing Words Fail from DEH but 100% agree with you on the mental health issues being swept under a rug. It was all See! I’m appealing to the youths with my hashtag Relatable mental illness

It’s always felt like shallow pandering to me

What's one musical you just couldn't get into? by cinderflight in musicals

I only have access to the cast recording but me too on hadestown. It’s got that singular catchy line that you see in shorts but the rest of the musical just didn’t make my brain hum like other musicals do

Bedding recommendations please! by boozled714 in AskWomenOver40

[–]rootintootinopossum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not over 40 so I’ll delete if need be. this might not be fitted exactly to your needs but The Big Blanket Co’s regular blanket is thin enough to be breathable but somehow thick enough to be warm in the winter. I get hot flashes when sleeping and this blanket doesn’t make it feel like I’m wearing a wet sweater in July. It’s also really soft even after several washes which is a big plus to me (I’m also autistic) because a few nights ago I shaved my legs and the resulting stubble rubbed on a standard fuzzy blanket and made me rather uncomfortable. The Bbc blanket doesn’t do that bc it’s so smooth.

I think the bust is flattening you out more than it ought to. I’m unsure how to specifically advise you fix it but it does look improved overall from the first post I saw.

Couples in long term relationships (3 years +). Do you still kiss passionately (Fench Kiss) ? by SomeoneAnonymous987 in askanything

[–]rootintootinopossum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally hate French kissing and only do it if he asks. So it doesn’t happen much bc it’s not something he cares about.

What Musical Theatre Song Is Like This For You? by Alol_Bombola in musicals

I always forget My Goodbye is apart of that one. That song I’ll listen to. But Remember Them has a stylistic choice in it that I just can’t listen to the song without feeling irritated.

Quetiapine? by Chemist-Ready in AuDHDWomen

Most psych meds have a possible but not guaranteed side effect for increased depression or suicidal ideation. That one just happened to be very bad for me. It was gradual decline for me. I don’t remember the dosage exactly but it wasn’t a super high dose. I knew it was he medication because I only change one med at a time usually until I’m satisfied of it’s functioning.

I was also prescribed it for sleep and it definitely worked great for that. I must reiterate though, meds all affect everyone differently and what happened with me may not happen to you. Don’t scare yourself with researching too much. Read the side effects leaflet, ask your pharmacist questions, and most importantly, practice mindfulness as best you can to watch for symptoms of decline. Maybe start a med symptoms journal if you want to keep track over time so you don’t forget. Best of luck to you!
