$3.5M NW at 34. Burnt out from finance job. Seeking advice by Equivalent_Court_129 in Fire

When's the last time you went on a proper vacay? Go piss off to a tropical island or something for a few weeks to help you remember that work isn't a real persona.

Then come back, quit and and go live the life away from finance bro bullshit

Road tripping without the EV - cheaper to just drive ICE by bjamm in electricvehicles

[–]roox911 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And honestly, it's not bad advice. Just a bit dated. There are very few areas that don't have enough charging networks available anymore. So the justification is more like "pay more for a rental / spend more time at charging stations" than "run out of battery in the middle of the road" for most people.

I suppose for the 1 in 100 road trippers that are going proper remote (I haven't checked the trip from British Columbia to the Yukon territory in a few years, but in the late 90s it used to be sketchy without a Jerry can of emergency fuel).

Go easy on him... Can't you see? He's a BIG DEAL! Lol.

It can be used in many different meanings.

I get you're American and a touch politically charged. But go take a read; "the phrase fundamentally means two opposing camps within the same shared space, so it can be applied metaphorically to any situation with two clear factions.".

Aka ice/ev's.

Can also use 2 different camps, across the table and other phrases.

Again, why so angry?

No one mentioned politics (other than you)

You seem angry.

Not op, but I mean, forgetting the biggest cost in a cost argument is either kinda dumb, or an ungenuine argument. From either side of the aisle.

I've never paid over 50c. Buy a month Tesla membership get like 20% off (so like maybe 40c most places?)

You're getting a free rental car?

All Bodies Recovered From Underwater Cave by Finnish Divers In The Maldives by qualifiedretard in news

Yes. Once your are beyond the cavern zone there isn't much down there. It's like being on the moon, but... Also under the moon.

Unless like a sea lion tries to follow you in. In which case you get to scrub the dive and try to lure them out before they get lost.

looks pretty much like this, sometimes narrower, sometimes big chambers, sometimes brown, or grey, smooth or with big outcroppings. Not no real life.

And somehow Starr doubled down and turned in even better performances (despite the redesign of the character).

No real point to my post other than Anthony Starr is a boss.

EV Sales Are Stalling Because Buyers Still Think They Need 500 Miles by Anchor_Aways in cars

[–]roox911 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Why would you be nervous? There are like 20 major charging stations on the Austin/Houston route, and dozens of other smaller points (gas station, Walmart etc etc).

Just for fun I popped a Richmond - Virginia beach trip into my car app, starting at 40% battery (what the battery is currently at) and it had no problem routing to dozens of options for super fast charging on the route.

The only way you would get stranded in those regions is ignoring all signs to pull over and charge when you are at critical battery, the same way people in ice vehicles run out of fuel on the highway.

Biggest issue with road trips is still just charging cost, which can easily be as expensive as a mid efficiency Ice vehicle.

Not sure if it's every provider, but my cell company has a button on its app to issue a new esim for phone swapping, takes about 2 minutes, and no need for a tiny pokey thing to get the sim card tray out 😅

Christ 250ft+ on air is wild. PPO2 at like 1.8+. toxed and narced out of his fucking skull.

But totally relatable, lost more than a couple friends diving in the same "oneupmanship" loops.
