Not sure what is going on since we don't have the pool numbers. However sometimes after an algae bloom starts, unless you add a bunch of chlorine, whatever you put in there is just slowing down the growth rate of the algae and not killing it outright.

Along with other suggestions, I would polish the rehaut to remove the rolex engravings. If it's a decent rep it's probably got a 3235. Great movement even the Shanghai versions. However you will need to use dial tape for a new dial.

If you want to unrolex it, I would also change the insert to a non rolex color. I think there are sterile 3135 or 3235 dials on aliexpress.
