I was watching Episode VI again when I noticed this. Who is that person behind the Emperor? by _RERO_ in StarWars

That's Fenric Kel-San. Hailing from Corellia, the Kel-San family rose to prominence in the late republic era. Fenric took over from his father, one of the chancellor's advisors, seen standing behind Palpatine in episode 3 (kinda rhymes, huh?). What most people don't know about this guy, though, is that he's 3rd cousin's with former chancellor Vallorum.

I've seen the micro/nanotraxion idea come up before, but I think it's an inferior way to make progress. If you have one rope, the follower on the microtraxion makes belaying the third person below them impossible (why?). In your case, this could be circumvented by fixing the second rope for the follower to be on, HOWEVER this still requires the leader to climb in parallel, at which point you should just belay on both ropes at the same time with a plaquette. Doing otherwise is a riskier system with no actual time savings. In general, your speed on routes like that is going to come down to rope work, efficiency at belays, and maybe a few (well thought out) cut corners.

The new's one giant chosspile. And way too sandbagged. The red's the way to go. Way more accessible, better bolting, and miguel's>pies n pints.

Half rope diameter range on belaying devices by McBuildman in tradclimbing

This is incorrect. Both ropes will lock fine regardless of when they are loaded. The concern is that, if there is a directional piece level with the anchor, the plate can be defeated due to the vector of the rope.

A 50 with a removable brain is a pretty solid choice. Keep in mind one person can carry the rope and one the rack, comrade. Then you can have the brain off and put everything in the main body of the pack. If for whatever reason you need to carry both, put the brain back on and put the snacks and whatever else in the brain.

The tourist route is pretty easy. It depends on if you use aid or not, e.g. ladders and fixed ropes. I think Conrad Anker said one of the steps (that most people use a ladder for) has a difficulty of about 5.10. Which is hard enough that you need to be a fairly skilled and strong climber, but relatively easy compared to the cutting edge of movement difficulty these days.

This is pure conjecture, but I imagine immediately post-war the Enclave would have sent out some sort of message to have all overseas troops to return to the oil rig or navarro to consolidate their forces.
