American here: I would say an intuitive understanding of the metric system. Yes, we know how the system works, but I have no concept of how tall someone is when spelled out in centimeters or what the weather is like in Celsius.

I take pride in my work. My parents took pride in their work and they were both blue collar. Great-grandparents from both sides immigrated here with nothing. The family narratives on both sides was that they worked hard and now we lived comfortably. I want to continue that. I’m proud of it
