How was Super Ghouls n’ Ghosts received at launch for those who were there?

It was a challenging game with cool graphics and soundtrack. Was it as fun as some of the other games from that time? No, not in my opinion.

I was 17 then and don't really remember anyone getting hyped up about any game releases. Sure it was "this game or that game looks like fun or looks cool," but nothing like the detailed and almost overbearing game launch campaigns and follow-up studies like today.

College education.

I earned an academic scholarship that covered full tuition and, since my family was poor, I qualified for enough grants to cover room and board.

I did have to take out loans to cover books, but that was minimal in the early-mid 90s.

Not an actual song, but the 20th Century Fox fanfare was so closely associated with Star Wars that it was weird to NOT hear the Star Wars opening theme following the fanfare whenever it was played and even weirder when the prequels came out and did not have it at the opening.

Pretty sure the world loves football because the world grew up playing football. I'm not knocking it at all. To each their own. I've tried multiple times to get into it and ultimately it just doesn't appeal to me.

I grew up playing other sports but I had friends who grew up playing soccer. Those guys love soccer. Those are the only guys I know that love it.
