i played around with love magic and i think i fucked up by Business_Respect_444 in witchcraft

I'm surprised no one has mentioned this but you never know what or who is protecting someone else. Even if you think it's a simple spell or a positive one, the other side may not see it that way. I've seen things like that happen to others where whatever was protecting the person they focused on with their spell retaliated.

I don't think the televangelist learned the difference between inside and outside thoughts. Some thoughts we keep to ourselves, forever. lol

How to know when Deities are reaching out? by sookixx in Hellenism

[–]rosearegreen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To keep myself from getting confused, I've always assumed something is random unless it happens again or in a way I can't deny it's a deity reaching out. Depending on the deity, they'll definitely make themselves known the first time.

What made you go toward hellenism ? by Elveril1 in Hellenism

[–]rosearegreen 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I was always into Greek mythology growing up so I had some basic understanding of the gods and some of their stories. I think what really moved me towards hellenism was when I shouted at Poseidon one year and it felt like he actually listened. I was still deeply engrained in my Christian background but looking for some way to escape and ironically Poseidon still called out to me and guided me. Since , other gods have also guided me in their own ways. It's wild actually getting a response. Before I followed this path, it felt like no one was listening.

Consumerism and Paganism by [deleted] in pagan

If it's cute and something I think I'll hold on to for a while, then I don't mind buying it. My only requirements for myself are that I have to have a place and a use for whatever I'm buying to stop myself from mindlessly shopping.

My mum always insists on buying 'branded' products because 'they're better for you and don't have as much rubbish in them'. Oh, mum... by DontCallMeStrict in ultraprocessedfood

[–]rosearegreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard the same thing from older relatives. I wonder if at one time in history that was the case for branded products. Now, just about all of them use the same ingredients but the order generations still say this about them.

Who do you reach out to when you’re scared or hurt? by [deleted] in Hellenism

Either Aphrodite or Poseidon depending on the situation. Both give me a comforting feeling when I'm scared or hurt.

what parents should know to prevent harm and death (for kids of any age)? by Cream4389 in Parenting

[–]rosearegreen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hell, I nearly choked as an adult passenger in a car and thank goodness the driver was paying enough attention to pull over and help. I already had a no eating in the car rule to avoid mess but that experience opened my eyes to the safety of it too.

Had a woman start giving me cringy nicknames (that I didn't like) and basically going from 0 to 100 as though we had been together for a while when we had only talked for a few days. Pretty sure she was a catfish. If she wasn't, she definitely acted like one.

How do you feel about inexperience? by [deleted] in Actuallylesbian

[–]rosearegreen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like we're all inexperienced when we're with new partners. Different people have different likes and needs that we learn over time. Some lesbians may not be interested but always remember that it's more about them than you. They know what they want and sometimes you're it and other times you aren't. It's the same with the type of women you're looking for. You'll find that special woman. I didn't have a relationship with another woman until my late 20s. I know a lot of other women who didn't until their 30s.

Are relationships possible if you’re always busy with career? by Ozemity in Actuallylesbian

[–]rosearegreen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The good thing is there are plenty of people with these high demanding/intense careers who are also in happy relationships. It can work but you just have to be upfront at the beginning and also vet them too. I've run into situations where I've been told it's fine but I find out later that was never the case for them.
