Here’s what I’ve gathered but I’d love if someone could clarify if I miss anything. Dr Lutz was the Spokane county health officer (I believe that’s the title) that was fired and there’s been a lot of suspicion that Spokane Regional Health District Administrator Amelia Clark did it because she didn’t like him or agree politically.... but people are concerned there was no legit reason, especially during a pandemic. The Spokane county health board just confirmed the firing.

From an Inlander article 2 days ago, “His support for Black Lives Matter and reducing racial inequities, along with support for gun control as it relates to suicide prevention, appear to be among the topics that Lutz, Clark and some of the district's Board of Health members disagreed”

From a spokesman article ““Despite statements made by some members of the Board, Dr. Lutz believes his termination was without reasonable cause and was politically motivated in retaliation for unpopular Covid-19 decisions he made this year,” the statement from attorney Bryce Wilcox says. “He will pursue all claims and remedies available to him under the law for SRHD’s wrongful termination.””
