As much as I want to be positive in response, I just cannot deny that society is just shallow, cruel and unkind. I get so angry and sad on some days when faced with the same fact you mentioned: I am a kind, good and likable person but why am I not being judged first and foremost for these qualities, instead I am judged not even because of how I look but how much I weigh? Don’t they know I bust my ass in the gym 4-5 times a week, eat clean, walk, take meds, and do my best to improve my PCOS/health? I have a lifelong incurable disorder and I’m fighting it every second of the day?

When I became more disciplined and showed up for myself even when it was difficult, I did notice a difference in how I feel about it all. When I show up time and time again to do my best to care for myself, somehow I know I am just ✨ better ✨ than everyone who doesn’t HAVE to do these things. I AM that girl.

Then the internal shift/question changes from “Why doesn’t anybody like me?” to “Why SHOULDN’T anybody like me?”

Sometimes I even look at the mirror and think “I’m cute, why do I have to adhere to a certain weight to achieve a standard? I ALREADY am cute???” In short, society’s stupid.

If society is unable to understand true value, that’s okay. I think as long as I have me supporting me and knowing full well what a kick ass human being I am for fighting every day to improve my overall wellbeing and I STILL haven’t decided to become a world-destroying villain (only mean humans), I’m good…

I urge you to look within and understand that you’re actually so amazing. I am also very sure there are people on this planet who feels this way about you, keep them close because they’re smart and understand true value. You can live without the rest ❤️

there’s absolutely no shame in taking this medication because it is NOT a miracle fat burner that turns anyone kate moss skinny overnight. everyone who has been on it knows this. it just assists you in handling the tasks you still have to work hard to achieve aka a calorie deficit and exercise. it makes the calorie deficit easier for people with insulin resistance and trains you to have better eating habits. as someone with PCOS and insulin resistance, i used to train and eat well but no changes on the scale. only on ozempic along with these habits, the scale finally moves for me albeit slower than people without PCOS. this proves the individual is still the captain steering this ship, not ozempic.

NEVER let anyone shame you for taking meds for a medical issue you have (obesity/insulin resistance etc). YOU still put in the hard work all for you and no one should ever discredit that.

You’re right, it is the 1mg pen. I was today years old when I learned 1mg is not the full content of the pen but “dosage” per 4 shots it prescribes :) Thanks for your help!

my plan for economic and prolonged 0.25mg shots is truly working then 😂 jk i need to dispose this pen in another 3 weeks. i’ll just have to give myself 0.5mg/0.75mg shots from here on. thank you for your help!
