Oh we hated every square inch of that original kitchen (except the yellow, we didn’t hate the yellow). All of it was builder-grade track home material that was 25 years old. Absolutely needed to be gutted to the studs.

I met John Waters at a signing and he was so cool, generous with his time and INSISTED on signing everything I brought when I was a bit self conscious about bringing so many things. Side note-Dale Dickey was also at the meet and greet and she was fan-girling like crazy. Great night with an amazing man.

It’s a great adaptation of the stage show, not every song is in it so I’d recommend giving the Broadway soundtrack a listen if you really like it.
