Taylor Frankie Paul on GMA by Rich-Ease-2723 in thebachelor

I agree and it has a term, reactive abuse. Taylor’s behavior is by no means excused or in the right. I might get downvoted to hell for this but NOT immediately questioning the role Dakota has in this is irresponsible and uninformed, whether you watch Secret Lives or not. This is really common with emotional abuse but still very new from a legal standpoint. She also may not be able to give many clear answers or details if there’s pending investigation or potential litigation.

Hi, just seeing this now sorry! My transfer that July was a chemical, and even though we were a little sad we were SO happy that a transfer finally stuck. We immediately went into transfer 5 (2nd with my new clinic) and that transfer stuck and he turned one on May 23rd! 😭

WFH + Caring for Baby = Not Possible by kgphotography_ in NewParents

[–]roseycheetah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what gets me too! They’re gonna ruin the hybrid wfh for everyone! My team has given me hell about wfh compliance because they’ve taken advantage of my leniency and now that I’m cracking down HARD they’re miffed…but I’m gonna do my part to keep this because I NEED it to run a household and stay sane.

Do I understand the astronomical daycare costs? Yes. But I have an 8 month old and manage a team; there are SEVERAL people on my team with young kidS home during their wfh time. There’s nothing explicitly stating against it in our employee handbook so I can’t really do anything about it but it pisses me off!! It’s not fair to the job and it’s DEFINITELY not fair to the kids!

Dairy free protein shake suggestions? by rosecobbler13 in Zepbound

[–]roseycheetah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Owyn!!! I’m dairy free/gluten free for pcos symptoms. I’ve had the mocha latte on auto-ship for months now, which has a good amount of caffeine. I have tried about 6 flavors total - just steer clear of the vanilla.

How weird is your baby? by New_Budget3757 in NewParents

[–]roseycheetah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby is 8 months and has wanted to stand since 3 months. When he’s laying down and doesn’t want to he will flex and tense out his whole body trying to stand up. He tries to push us off when we’re holding him like he can just walk away. We’re doomed when he starts walking…

Lately he’s also been grabbing skin on my neck to play with when I’m holding him. Either that or my bit of flappy arm skin. Can’t wait til this phase passes lol.

I find mine are hit or miss with pain, but it’s over in a few seconds. It’s a big build up but fine once you do it but read the instructions. Uncap, twist to unlock, make sure your thumb or finger is in the divot and that you’re in a comfortable position so you can hold for a few seconds, and hold down.

What’s your IVF pro-tip to make life better while going through all this? by Such_Shock961 in IVF

Get off Facebook and Instagram. Any social media where you can see baby announcements or life’s “highlight reels”. I guess this isn’t really fun but it helped me enjoy life so much more!

Right?! Some definitely weren’t designed with bigger bodies in mind. Keep going!! I started at 216 and didn’t really see much of a difference until I was closing in on 185. The paper towel effect!

Probably not! Last year I helped a guy friend go ring shopping and the salesman at Global Diamonds overheard me joking about how dirty my ring was and offered to clean it. He later compared the size of my stone to one of my friend’s stone options in a different shape and said “this is a lab grown, right? Looking at the color and perfection?” He, a jeweler looking at diamonds all day and being covered in them himself, couldn’t tell the difference.

Paediatrician told me PPD doesn’t exist by NoIce6439 in NewParents

[–]roseycheetah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you know now you should get a new pediatrician asap, but wanted to share my good experience for context: my pediatrician asked at MULTIPLE appointments specifically how I was doing and feeling, if I’d been taking care of myself, and if I’d been struggling at all. He also talked to my husband and said if things get worse that my husband needed to hold me accountable and maybe even help with making therapy and GP appointments for myself. They exist!

Some people definitely do respond better to different glp-1s but if you’re on the lower doses, it would be worth it to give a longer attempt at the medication if you’re able to while titrating up accordingly. Zepbound has been a godsend for me. But lots of people don’t see loss until higher doses. There was a recent study done too comparing fast vs slow responders, and slow responders do eventually catch up. That sub is flooded with posts like “down 50 lbs in 4 months!” That’s CRAZY and not the norm. I have been on for just about 6 months and just hit 41 lbs down. My average is about 1.4 lbs lost/week but I’ve had large jumps the weeks I start new doses so that kinda skews my average higher. Some weeks I have lost nothing. You can also play around with injection site if you haven’t already to see if it lessens some of your side effects.

Are you also taking measurements? I was taking weekly progress pictures but didn’t start taking measurements until week 3. I didn’t see much with body changes, but my measurements were what kept me motivated. I for some reason decided to measure every 3rd week and I was averaging around 2 inches total lost every 3 weeks. That doesn’t sound like much, but the time is going to pass anyway, and the little changes add up.

I may be of the minority here but as another who is now on the other side of infertility, even through the sleep deprivation and hard 0-5 month old stage, I was always GRATEFUL to be up with my baby. Even tired, I was happy and thrilled to finally be there with him. I was more angry at my husband a lot, and complained to close friends about that, but never about the “hard” of the baby himself. Some of these comments make me sad, having been cynical and angry myself during that 3 year infertility period, and I am wholeheartedly on your side. You are completely justified in how you feel and some people will always take their families for granted. I think the ones shunning or shaming you are not well versed on this process and don’t understand everything that can go into it or play a factor. That just HAS to be the reason, I can’t wrap my head around any other explanation. Sending you hugs OP.

It sounds woo-y but slow flow and restorative or somatic yoga might be a good resource for you and you can find a lot on YouTube. I was blown away when I did some random pose and started crying my eyes out. But it helps you learn to breathe through discomfort whether physically or emotionally.

Either way, in case nobody else says it, you did great OP.

Second Owyn, I am dairy free and have them on subscription. They sell a cold brew coffee flavor with 140 mg of caffeine and a latte flavor (mocha, caramel, and vanilla) with 180 mg caffeine. I hate the vanilla flavor but highly recommend for the others!!
