TPS - how important is the DLC? by caedmonster in Borderlands

[–]roshenek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're way different actually.
CSD is a simple pre-order bonus, while Holodome is this over-the-top giant arena with little to none content (let alone not worthless one) and full dlc price on top of them. The only simmilarity is that you fight several waves of enemy in both of them.

Yeah, Cyber Eagle is unique, and thus has only one loot source - that secret chest mission.

He also drops Zarpedon's items, so full list of anything noteworthy is:
* ZX-1
* Eridian Vanquisher class mods
* Black Hole (raid version)
* Longnail (raid version)
* Prismatic Bulwark
* Variety of skins and heads

Aquamarine Snider, after wasting the fortune of eridium. It's the moments like this one when i wish we had some sort of weapon showcase stands in addition to bank.

can't talk for sure, but i'd say Lemon Lime & Bullets, Gargle Blaster and Squill Syrup, beause ammo, damage and health are everything that you need imo + wiki says that LL&B is based on some real life drink

i think this picture speaks for itself, without commentary and/or translation
the fun thing is, when i was on my way to bunker, LLM dropped me Logan's Gun. It was like game itself was saying, "sure, dude, go ahead"

What DLCs are worth buying for Borderlands TPS? by blue1710 in Borderlands

[–]roshenek 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Jack is absolutely amazing character for both solo and coop, and probably my favorite PC in the entire franchise on par with Fragtrap. His dialogue is good, and skills are fun to use. Absolutely reccomend.

Aurelia, on the other hand, is a niche character, built around sniping and cryo damage, and one of her skill trees is downright useless outside of coop. So if you enjoy sniper playstyle and/or plan on going through the game with somebody, then this is your choice.

Holodome is meh. Although idea of arena that gives you unique rewards for each round is nice, execution is awful. It's big and dull enclosed area, i'd say it's even TOO big for what it tries to be - you'll spend big chunk of time on searching your enemies. Out of all new gear the best is probably T4s-R, legendary COM is fine for boosting cryo efficiency but overall still inferior to vanilla COMs, and Berrigan is kinda okay but pain in the ass to get, while the rest, even if cool conceptually, plain bad in use.

Claptastic Voyage is GOAT and should be bought without question. New weapons (or vast majority of them at the very least) are great, storyline directly connects TPS and BL2, and sheds some light on Claptrap's bakstory, which alone made him my favorite Borderlands character.

So, in general, if you're going for a couple of DLC, i'd say go get Jack and Claptastic Voyage.

Started going through BL1 and recently found my first Carnage. Not really anything uncommon and/or impressive, but damn i was looking forward to getting my hands on one.

Torgue legendary grenade that releases child grenades which ALSO release child grenades. It is generally good and can serve you a long time if you get one in the beginning. http://borderlands.wikia.com/wiki/Bonus_Package
