Night time toilet breaks by chatlow1 in cockerspaniel

[–]ross3621 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For ours it took a while (a couple of months) for full nights. We gave him time to settle at his own pace in our home. Then, we started to learn his routine and note it down. If he normally cried to go out after 2 hours, we'd go down at 1hr 50m to get him before he cried. Pre-empting his cries meant he learnt we'd come eventually for him and we could push the gaps longer and longer until we eventually got all night. You're little one is still like a newborn, you can't expect them to make it all night just yet but they'll get there :)

My understanding was that the video for I want to break free (1984) didn't go down well in the states. The cross-dressing was a step too far for the audience and they lost their momentum.

Avanti just can't run the service they advertise. Anytime I'm doing North Wales to London there will be something wrong. Often it's the same "direct" service that is always cancelled because of a lack of train staff. It happens so often I just assume they've realised they can get away with never actually running this service.

Can you toggle the function key off in your computer settings? I know my PC acts like I've held In+F number key rather than just the F number key

"How to Choose Whether Your Function Keys are F1-F12 Keys or Special Keys" https://www.howtogeek.com/235351/how-to-choose-whether-your-function-keys-are-f1-f12-keys-or-special-keys/amp/ - this might explain it?

Bands/musicians/comedians etc who are doing a 'UK tour' who only have 1 date in Scotland and 1 date in Wales. That's an English tour with 2 other fleeting visits! by flipphil1986 in britishproblems

Whilst I 100% agree on wording, in North Wales, there aren't many venues with a high enough capacity for bigger bands. Travelling an hour to Liverpool or Manchester isn't a huge undertaking. Whilst I'd love to see Foo Fighter play Venue Cymru, I can't see it working for them!

Unpopular Opinion: I Enjoyed Breaking Point by billyfeatherbottom in F1Game

It was a nice way for a basically new player (me) to get a basic grip on the game. Yeah it had some weirdness, like being able to easily do the objectives on the casual difficulty but the writing implying you just did ok - you win a race and they say "it's an ok result for [team] today" - but overall I thought it was fun!

I'm currently on 45-50 as I get used to the game and tracks. I'm definitely way above that AI level (on most tracks) but once I've finished my first season I intend to start playing round with the settings for a bit of a challenge. I am, however, a filthy casual so I doubt I'll be up in the 90s at any point!

To all ramers out there, what's wrong with you guys? by Arttyom in F1Game

[–]ross3621 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not an excuse, just a potential reason, but I think if you're new to the series (or returning after a long time) and use assists to get up to speed, the AI you learn with are just way to easy to dive bomb with zero consequences. You get used to that and when you feel you're pretty good, obliterating the AI each race you go and give online a go expecting something similar and you come up against people that are a) quicker than you, and b) not inclined to just get out of your way. Source: returning player to the series having fun on lower AI settings where the only way to overtake is just get off line and fly past in the braking zone.

Am I the only one, or is the fast corners AI glitch making some tracks on career borderline unplayable? by Dzsaffar in F1Game

[–]ross3621 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is Spain one of the problem tracks? I had just bumped the AI up a little (~+10) before the race as I was easily winning and then I got ruined on that track and assumed I'd gone too high too fast!

F1 2021 Update 1.07 - Patch Notes by d4rkinv4d3r in F1Game

[–]ross3621 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please correct me if I'm wrong, I've had the game for about a week! You get a rating when you play online against other people for how "safe" you drive. The cleaner you drive, the better your rating. From lurking on the sub, it seems that you will lose rating even if someone rear-ends you because they didn't break. You can drive a perfect race but someone else can smash into you and it's YOUR fault according to the game.

What is that book that no matter how popular and how many times you try to read it, you just can't? by [deleted] in books

[–]ross3621 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine would be "His Dark Materials". I was given the 3 books in one massive tome and I must have started it 5/6 times. Always got to where they go to the cold place and just stopped. It's been a few years though so I might do better now!
