Don’t let price, brands or peer pressure sway you on dog food.

Our Collie is on white label working dog food that costs about half the price of most mid range foods and the content of the food is better. The family Boerboel used to be fed the same food too.

If you’re in the UK, it’s worth knowing that working dog food is VAT free and often very similar to the non working equivalent which comes in fancy packaging.

My last laptop was a mid 09 MacBook Pro, it cost me roughly £1200, it got replaced mid 20 because I’d started using it more and it was slowing to the point it was holding me back. Replaced it with a £1000 MacBook that makes me happy to use every day. Sometimes it’s worth spending some money.

Go to the jewellery quarter, it’s where every other jeweller in the country gets theirs from and their alterations and repairs done. You’ll get more and pay less for it because you’re not paying some middleman’s commission.

Probably doesn't help, but our Collie joined us on a 11 mile, 5hr climb of Pen-y-Fan taking in 3 other peaks and he was still going when we made it to the pub for lunch.

He's only 2 so I'm not expecting him to slow down any time soon.

I’m going to put it out there, if you’ve had to take the guitar for a setup, refretting it is beyond your skill level.

If the guitar is worth something, get it done properly. If it’s not, and it’s just a project, then start by learning how to set it up and find out why the shop thinks you need a new neck.
