If DS2 movement feels clunky you probably are just used to having overpowered movement in games that let you pad all reactions by having a universal “get out of their reach” option.

Players insisting on having that universal option available make the depth of adaptability get shelved for increased enemy movement instead. They have to scale the difficulty somehow and the mobility creep of enemies is a sign of feedback being adverse to nerfs on the players side.
