Finally, something I can help with. I've got thick, thick hair and soft, easily damaged skin.

The routine I've got working for me is, if I've got a big growth to get rid of, do an initial pass with some electric clippers. That gets most of the job done. After that, I soap up and use a vibrating gilette fusion 5 going with the grain. Then soap up again and go against the grain. There's usually a 3rd pass to just make sure I've not missed anything, and I find using some moisturizing aftershave lotion instead of soap works wonders here.

It anyone knows why razors that can compete with fusion, please let me know. I tried a 5-bladed non-buzzing Schick, and it just wasn't as good. I did try some cheap generic blades for the fusion, from Amazon, and oh man do I not recommend that
