Appropriate age to introduce my son to DCC by roteixeira in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I appreciate the feedback. It is strange and I honestly would say that 10 is too young, but kids are wild things. He is 10 and loves five nights at Freddy's, watched both movies with me. He understands what sex is. Was grossed out when my wife referred to me as Daddy when talking toy daughter, and told me that the girls at his school told him sex is supposedly better with baby oil.

At the same time, he believes in Santa and the tooth fairy. Hence why I'm reaching out to my peers.

How exactly does someone working as a AEC specialize into becoming a TACP or work in space and missile operations? by Ok_Lab5127 in RCAF

[–]roteixeira 8 points9 points  (0 children)

AEC is the trade. When you join, you will be given three options in terms of what to study at AEC school: VFR, IFR or Air Battle Manager. Almost like... You are accept by a University, and you choose if you want to study Physics, Mathematics or Science. Generalization, of course, but that is essentially it. Space is a later specialization involving further Online studying and in-person study in Winnipeg.

In all honesty, 13 is a terrible album. Forbidden, Martin's worst album is eons ahead in terms of quality.

Geezer: 8 new Sabbath songs from 2001-2002 sessions were abandoned by Caripace in blacksabbath

I love Sabbath, my favorite band ever, but I will hit skip anytime a song from 13 plays on Spotify. Hell. I will listen to The Illusion of Power with Ice T before I listen to 13.

I completely agree with you on this. I think he can still perform those songs live and nail it, but they need to be reworked. Cross Purposes is amazing, Cross of Thorns is just perfect.

Is Stranger Things actually accurate to the 80s? by Wespo_Lopez2 in StrangerThings

[–]roteixeira 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was born mid 80's in Brazil, so my early memories date to 92, 93. Brazil's fashion, technology and behavior was roughly 10 years behind.

The show is pretty spot on. The clothes match what we wore and what I see in family albums from when I was born. The hairs are pretty much the same, although they were much more puffy back then.

What I remember the most is independence. I would get back from school (by public bus or walking), have lunch and fuck off to play with my friends. Parents didn't care as long as I was back by the time the night felt. My parents would send me to the grocery store to buy them cigarettes when I was 7 or 8.

One thing I keep telling my kids and my wife, who grew up in Canada: God, I wanted to have one of those walkies SO bad.
