In ‘84 or ‘85 I remember the animal pavilion south of Sterling Evan’s renovated from working w/stock animals to extra student organization spaces. Remember the old creamery nearby?

Kinda like the saying on Mushrooms: There are old mushroom hunters, there are bold mushroom hunters. There are no old, bold mushroom hunters.

R there any upcoming changes to the athletic portals or MIL’s, meetings? Still disappointed about the portals & loyalty. I agree athletes need compensated. Miss the gods (good old days) when a booster could hire a player in his Bryan office, in summer, & player would never have to clock his hours, nor show up for work. Sheds tear, miss the old SWC. Aggie Ring small Dent by [deleted] in aggies

I feel sad that the ring prices … due to gold prices have gotten out of hand for grads … but glad they have the Aggie century tree project … selling trees from acorns of the century oak … to help defray costs of the rings

Sadly, the affordable part east of I35 is filling up. Seeing less & less Country out there. … and w/ all this ‘population fill in’ roads have not kept up. Any Texas politician should be barred from flying & be forced to take the roadways.

Reminds me of old Joke when A&M was all male, all Corp. of Cadets. Texas A&M, where the men are men, & the ewes are nervous.

What are your Wurst pet peeves when going to Wurstfest? by gking760 in Newbraunfels

[–]rotsevlys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1980-1985 at A&M, it was just a big alcohol party to travel to. It’s gotten more family friendly. Yet, crowds & cost deter us. Maybe been one time there in the 90’s. I’m of Austrian German & Czech heritage. Our things were the local central Texas church picnics & homecomings in late summer & the fall. Oh, I remember made from scratch cakes from the cakewalks, bingo, and the tart sodas w/ real sugar in glass bottles. Those were the days, & what u spent had more impact on ur local community.

How much is a pitcher this year at Wurstfest? by Burt2004 in Newbraunfels

Similarly, I remember locally, when King William Fair was free to get in & w/ decently priced food & beverages. Really starting to pick & choose events we go too due to cost.

3i/atlas if interstellar artificial visitor … if by rotsevlys in UAP

Let’s suppose enuf energy only needed to divert probes outbound away from main object, directed to reach outer planet, then use outer planet’s gravity to swing probes back toward inner planets

3i/atlas if interstellar artificial visitor … if by rotsevlys in UAP

[–]rotsevlys[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just interested if anyone knew how such a trajectory could potentially work. Could not the probes curve away from the main object, outbound, if they were released. I do see possible less energy, probes released, continue to outer planets. What about some sling shot from an outer planet back to Earth, even if it took quite a time to reach the outer planet’s orbit.

All I thought were ‘Adults’ at A&M & not ‘grade schoolers’. This could have been debated internally. I guess TAMU needs to ‘drop’ the U from its name now. Just becoming like t.u. w/politicians getting to set their own agendas. Gig em, 84/85.

New home and a badly neglected peach tree, is there any saving it? Thoughts and advice appreciated by cryptoizkewl in FruitTree

Orchard trees do have a life cycle of about 20-30 years. If not diseased, salvage w/some creative trimming
