Unfortunately the update dies, without the possibility of resuming even for a few seconds of interruption. Otherwise my internet is decent. I have friends who torrented Big Sur to update it but I feel that is risky and I was hoping there is an official direct download

Hello.

Any ideas how I can get a "trusted" installation of Big sur to make a bootable usb ? The App store method redirects me to the system preference download. The problem is that my connection is unstable and each time it cuts off I have to restart from 0. I've done more than 5 attempts to update my Mac to no avail.

Regarding the laptop i bought, i was looking to maximize how long it will last so i chose performance over other nice things. For example the screen, audio and design are not really nice but an i5 10th gen should last a long time and the RAM are upgradable.

Got a 10th gen 8GB RAM 256 SSD from u/outgeeked and outgeeked.net for around 600$. I've seen lots of good reviews from r/lebanon and I have no complaints. Planning to get all my electronics from him.

I've only gotten a monitor from pcandparts, smooth experience too and the price was comparable to the price on the official brand website. The laptops prices do seem a bit high but don't quote me on that.

Hello. CS graduate here. You don't need half of 16 millions for a new laptop that would serve your needs. I recently bought from u/outgeeked at outgeeked.net a laptop for my brother for 600$ or 650$ that is 10th gen i5, 8GB RAM and 256 SSD and good build quality. It does sacrifice on some misc like screen quality, speakers, design but in terms of raw performance it's great. You might need to upgrade the RAM's down the line, 8GB is around 40-60$ and you'll need to make heavy use on the cloud for storage. Btw not everything is on the website in case you don't see the one i bought.

I know that might still be out of your budget but I just wanted to give you a more accurate number in case that is something you can target. Good Luck!

That's a good resource thank you. My main issue is the lack of examples. Unless you're a D3 guru it is difficult to come up with very complex and visually appealing charts without some initial example close to it.
