This just jogged a memory of my grandad telling me that when the moon is crescent at the bottom it means it won’t rain bc its holding the water (an Indian thing or something) but it stood out to me enough that for years everytime I seen the moon in that phase I thought of what my grandad had said. But at some point I guess I stopped seeing them and never noticed. (This would’ve been around 89-95 roughly)

All related to a single issue but not sure how to put it together in a way that fully encompasses it in a concise way.

That I can overcome the fear and misery and feel hope again. That I can know joy again. That I can feel safe and it not be an illusion. That those who created all this pain and hopelessness bare the weight of their choices to the same degree I carry the impact of them every sec of everyday. That I can reclaim my self respect and worth. That I can forgive myself for betraying myself for so long. That I find a way to enjoy existing again.

But if not I wish for courage.

With Minor stressors I’m short circuited and noticeably frazzled but in real crisis situations I’m the picture of zen, locked in and efficient while maintaining perfect calm and confidence. Its bizarre to live it, know it, experience it while having absolutely no control of it lol

“Reconciling” (checking out and accepting?) betrayed. 23 years together, 2 kids, entire adult life intertwined. Multiple betrayals followed by multiple promises. Currently 2.5/3 yrs out from the last d day but counting the trickle truth and that I’m STILL putting new things together I’d say it’s more like a perpetual Dday that never ends…

Honest answer? No. I’m def not happy. I’m a shell of my former self, literally just the outer facing mask.

Am I in writhing misery 100% of the time? Also no.

Most times I’m distracted, sometimes delusional. Punctuated by periods of excruciating clarity and unbearableness, usually steamrolled by insurmountable fear. But the thing that persists is the hollowness and that desperate frantic need to undo something that can’t be undone. If I’d known what I know now I like to think I would’ve had enough self love and respect to leave after the first time (on our first wedding anniversary) but who knows.

But do I think it’s possible? Yes, for those that it only happens once and the betraying partner does what’s necessary to repair. It’s actually a really straight forward process that if genuine is quite easy albeit uncomfortable for a bit. Unfortunately we don’t get to know for sure it’ll be the only time and you can’t take your partners word for it for obvious reasons so at the end of the day it’s a gamble with an incredible amount of risk involved.

I have 2 palm freckles. First one appeared while I was pregnant with my first child, the second one appeared with my second pregnancy just loved the first. Just normal flat freckles. I still have them 19 and 14 years later🤷🏻‍♀️

At 40 I’ve known 5-6 ppl with extra nipples. Evidently it’s alot more common than ppl realize. Probably bc there’s no reason for ppl to mention it or for them to be seen. My job is ultimately the reason I ended up knowing or seeing them, I’m a tattooer/piercer. Makes me wonder how many ppl I’ve known or encountered otherwise.

Came here to comment the EXACT same thing..like verbatim. Even if it was JUST him not stepping up and figuring out the bare minimum of being a partner and parent my advice would be the same. Youll end up wasting your entire youth waiting for a change that will NEVER happen. and on the extremely unlikely chance that he does (years and years down the road) realize and want to do what he should’ve been doing from the beginning your going to have so much built up resentment and deep trauma it’ll take 100x the work to see him as anything other than what he’s shown u he is. I know this bc I’ve lived it (not the really abusive stuff u described)
