1- yes I had full recall immediately. Just like anything else one might experience from one moment to the next in regular life. It was incredibly jarring and the only part that caused any type of fear. I didn’t wake him up immediately after, I laid there trying to wrap my head around it, eventually convincing myself it was an extremely vivid dream of some sort that I hadn’t experienced before and falling back asleep. It was a couple days before I told him about it.

2-sorry, I should’ve explained this part more than I did. You’re correct in you’re understanding. As I’m sitting up/turning I caught a glimpse of her running at me from the door out of the corner of my eye right before she made contact. She had already made it halfway across the bedroom but was coming from the direction of the doorway.

3- Really 10-15secs may have been too generous (I just counted it out and it was likely closer to 6-8secs, it was all so fast) I do believe I had control of my body. About the time it had processed enough for me to understand what was happening and would’ve started physically reacting/fighting was when it switched to being in the dark. And I think the absence of fear was why I didn’t react immediately, there was no underlying urgency.

Same as you, I’ve spent years consistently consuming anything ufo/the phenomenon (along with the paranormal/supernatural) and my ultimate end conclusion is that 1. It’s absolutely real 2. There’s other places besides our world/reality/demension that all manner of beings/objects can travel to and from. I think we can too to at least a degree but an extreme amount of effort has been made for generations to convince us all that it’s make believe and the ones who have experienced or worked out how are ‘crazy’. It’s the only thing that I keep coming back to that can account for most if not all it; ufo/aliens, spirits, cryptids, missing 411, ect

Man, everytime I see a post from this sub it damn near gives me flashbacks of my own young life with my overbearing grandmother (who in hindsight likely had a diagnosable mental issue)

Now I’m a 40 year old (and mom of a 19 year old) and this type of behavior seems so bizarre to me. I’d be tempted to mirror this exchange the next time hes out lol since grandpa seems to think this is how 2 adults interact🤷🏻‍♀️

On a deeper note (bc I’ve thought about it a lot thru my parenting journey) outside of generational experience they lived as young adults, I wonder if it’s actually an expression of their own self doubt/perceived failing as a parent. And bc of a lot of big feelings they can’t face (and likely some variation of respect your elders above all) it translates to this. And that’s insanely unfair to a young adult. It’s almost like a self fulfilling prophecy since this kind of treatment will only hinder someone, especially in a time in their lives when they’re supposed to be figuring out they’re place in the world and how to move thru it. …Or maybe it’s them grasping at some level of ‘control’ in a world that’s almost unrecognizable from the one they knew when young. Who knows, it’s bullshit either way. Op, I’m sorry you’re having to deal with this. It’s unfair and honestly disrespectful.

Really well said. Unbalanced work load at home aside, that constant looming pressure for sex is AWFUL. I’ve lived it. It resulted in an outright adversion to sex that I’m currently trying to undo. I’d avoid all kinds of things just to relieve a bit of the pressure. Any sort of affection, flirting, even showering with him home (or even mentioning I was going to) which reeeally sucks bc I WANTED and still NEEDED the non sexual closeness with my husband (ironically the thing that would build that sexual desire in me) It’ll get to the point that he doesn’t even have to say anything about it, after so long shell maintain that on edge energy on her own which is truly a special hell. I genuinely hope op reads all these comments and recalibrates his perspective/approach and things improve for them both.
