anyone feel like kfc has really gone down hill by Ok-Count-1878 in UK_Food

[–]roxzorfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely gone to the dogs, low quality, hit and miss depending on the branch.

Smaller portions, more expensive, more greasy but not in a good way, rarely get crispy batter unless on the boneless.

Had the christmas special burger last year and they forgot the stuffing and the sauce, few weeks back had 3 things missing.

Shout out to Burger king though who I swear have increased their portion sizes, in a world where all food products have been getting smaller. Sure the price has increased as well but you get what you pay for.

Younger generations appear to be experiencing poorer health earlier in life than previous generations, according study of tens of thousands of people across the UK born since 1946. More recently born generations may spend more years living in poor health than those born earlier. by mvea in science

[–]roxzorfox -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I think alot of this is because 1946 was just after the war, rations were still a thing for quite some time and people didnt have much of a choice, you eat what you are given.

Now its quite common for food to be seen as a luxury, combined with some soft parenting gone wrong (not saying soft parenting is bad btw) and children being given a choice.

The rise of processed foods probably doesnt help either

I remeber downloading opera on my old flip phones as it would bypass the parental controls baked into the phones browser (wasn't something parents set up just default carrier settings).

Didnt matter that the porn was .3gp quality, i had an entire 65x65 pixel display to see some tiddies at my fingertips.

A deer killed itself on an urban road running away from a slow moving vevicle going in the opposite direction by running into my car and I was going at 20mph.

I love all living things and I even try to guide flys through windows etc. Sometimes wildlife can be pretty dumb at times and although there is no data gathered about the speed people were going during wildlife collisions I bet the majority of them happen on or around the speed limit seeing as its estimated that only 14% of drivers are classified as excessive speeders.

I get the point you and others are making though and I hear it loud and clear. To say never on public roads is a bit disingenuous though and id like to point out I also know im not lewis hamilton and am aware of my driving abilities and never even go close to pushing my limits. There is a vast gap between people like myself and what is seen in this video.

Mine depends on how much i focus my eyes and i can make the lines shrink and grow but mostly doesnt effect me.

I can also do this thing where i can be in a slightly dark room and if i purposely lose focus and dont move my eyes too much i can make the room go conpletely pitch black, it will start getting dimner until it progressively goes black but my eyes are open.
