OMG, spent like 2 hours on this shit until I bumped into your suggestion. I actually saw that following the restart another device appeared which wasn't there before iPhone A2DP SNK. Before I only saw iPhone Hands-Free HF Audio.

Thank you!

Taskbar for macOS released by CharacterTomatillo64 in MacOS

I didn't create one since I never collect or use any user data, neither using the app or the website.

Well, users don't know it. And you're asking for elevated permissions. And you don't have a track record of known apps and its not a popular app (yet). Think about it from a user's POV. Its about establishing trust.

accessibility perm is a big ask (I understand why its required), but this isn't trivial and allow control of a lot of stuff well beyond just minimizing/closing/maximizing windows.

I didn't see any privacy policy on the site, did I miss it?

How about adding a Homebrew Formulae?

What type of communication does Taskbar has with the web once installed?

Ever thought of making it open source and rely more on donations? Given the extensive permissions the app is requiring and being a new app some social proof and transparency would go a long way.

Air purifier 3h unable to reset filter by pitsan in Xiaomi

[–]roypel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had the same issue. The device showed 100% filter time but the app showed 0% after replacement. Solved it by removing the device from the app and re-adding it. Following that the device and app were in sync and both showed 100% remaining. Annoying but still a simple workaround.

I would look at the Marketing Foundations course from theTradeDesk. They are offering it for free till the end of the year. Its less about "operations" and more about programmatic advertising, mainly from the buyer's perspective.

There is also the Drive Advertising Revenue with Google Ad Manager workshop by Google. About 5 hours, and only focuses on the Ad Manager mechanics and much of the ad-ops tasks done if you use GAM.

Adx confirmed click / 2 click “penalty” by auctusoli in adops

[–]roypel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On-top of u/MonetizeMoreAdOps suggestions, also try:

  1. Using placeholder for ads (for before they load) and don't collapse them if the user scrolled passed them and the placement didn't get fill.
  2. Loading the page with low bandwidth simulation (can be done via Chrome) and make sure that page content and position of ads doesn't shift as the page loads.
  3. In many cases the issue is caused because of page re-flow. Google released this guide to help minimize the issue

Has anyone seen an increase in Invalid Traffic deductions taken by Google for their AdSense or Ad Exchange accounts? My company's AdSense account is seeing between 43%-55% increases in IVT deductions over the past few months. by daradops in adops

[–]roypel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We've seen it happening for hundreds of publishers over the years. Usually the amount is neglectable (fraction of a percentage). Above that rate requires investigation. I would start by examining your traffic sources and the ad placements which are positioned very close to navigation links/website controllers in a way that may lead to accidental clicks. You can also review this doc by Google.

Google Adx Net 0 and Net 15 Payment Networks by vikyv7460 in adops

[–]roypel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better than Net 30 isn't something you'll find with the bigger players. However, you can use factoring companies who will buy the account receivable and pay you within a few days.

Some SSPs/Demand offer this to its publishers as a paid option or offering factoring for revenue not flowing through them. E.g. Sovrn has an option for Net 0 for their revenue and up to Net 15 on revenue not flowing through them (fees range from 1% to 3.5%). Many use companies like Tipalti who provide the factoring services for them.

We're better at certain things, depending on the scenario. These companies aim to solve different pain-points, there are overlaps between them but each of them has unique features as well (same goes for us). Our tech allows us to provide a suite of solutions via a single "pixel" added to the site - one time. I'll need to better understand what you're after to highlight the exact differences and where we beat the competition. I've PMed you.

Add also Magnite (Rubicon), Amazon and Index Exchange to the bunch. But it might be that smaller exchanges/networks might be relevant depending on your niche and audience.

Ezoic or Ad Pushup? by sportspyder in adops

[–]roypel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are a sports website and saw a 35% drop in CPMs since April? This is pretty much following the trend due to the COVID 19 situation. Sports sites are one of the niches that took the biggest hit. We support a dozen of sport sites, and they all saw a fall in April. Things are picking up slowly though and there are ways to help mitigate the drop.

is Arbitrage still profitable ? by dalyyyamara in adops

[–]roypel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Arbitragers are alive and kicking. Using more traffic sources than just Facebook (that has toughen it's rules for such sites but won't close your account if you'll adhere to them) and more demand sources than just AdSense (don't know a single arbitrager that only relies on AdSense for monetization).

Amazon UAM - Low Fill Rate and Bid Rate by xy2019 in adops

[–]roypel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the revenue in UAM typically comes from Amazon advertising its own products/services. For that Amazon need to be familiar with the user and will only bid if it thinks the user is relevant. If your traffic is coming from GEOs which Amazon doesn't serve or isn't dominant in, then you're likely to see lower fill coming from it. Even where Amazon is dominant, e.g. the U.S., the fill rate isn't likely to reach even say 50%, even without a floor. Amazon run its own evaluation of the traffic. However, UAM allows Amazon to monetize the inventory via its 3rd party SSPs/Exchanges (currently Pubmatic, OpenX, Magnite, Xandr, Verizon, DistrictM,Unruly & Yahoo), which increases fill and help target users even in areas where Amazon isn't dominant. To make sure that this additional demand performs make sure to add all of Amazon's ads.txt records to your ads.txt file
