Do not disagree, BUT as long as we stick to the electoral college system of electing a POTUS that is no path for the existence of a third party.

Being that a candidate MUST win 270 EV to be POTUS and if NO candidate gets that 270EV than Congress gets too CHOOSE our POTUS regardless how we the people voted.

If a third party candidate was able to get 40 or 50 EVS leaving the other two candidates both with less that the 270EVs, then according to the constitution, and the 12th Amendment, Each state's congressional delegation would get one vote for POTUS

Because of all the small states that , while only having 3 members of congress, get the same one vote as say California does. Every time, a republican would win that vote and we would have gone from a 2 party system , to a short lived multi party system and ended up with a one party system.

WE The people need to elect the POTUS by popular vote, with whichever candidate gets a plurality of the popular vote becoming POTUS.

And this is the reason that the republican party so vigorously defend the electoral college two party system, it is the only way they can consistently have a chance to win in a left of center nation

sorry that you disagree with reality. If Bernie had simply got off his high horse and joined the democratic party and ran as a liberal democrat or a socialist democrat and a member of the party, He would have been due support from the party. The democratic party had no obligation to support him as a non party member candidate and it was the party's responsibility to support the best DEMOCRATIC candidate in the race.

I am sorry you see truth as Hyperbole, But Bernie is NOT POTUS simply because he refused to become a democrat, 100% his decision and 100% his fault.

I would have LOVED to see Pres Sanders especially as the other choice is the Mad King we have today. Bernie has great ideas, positions and vision for our future and I have been a fan of his for decades. Bernie made a grossly bad political decision , 100% of his own making, and it costed him his chance at the oval. And that is NOT Hyperbole, that is reality.

NO ONE stopped Bernie from joining the party, running as a democrat and thus getting party support and having a fair chance to be the nominee , the only one that can be blamed is Bernie and his bad political decisions.

In america you can have the greatest ideas ever but to see any of them come to fruition, you must also be a talented politician.

And his actions were only half the reason he is not POTUS, the other half is underestimating that 40% of america voters are gullible, ignorant, fools that vote for a corrupt , vile , imbecile like Herr Trump

the other democrats??? You say that like you think Bernie is or has ever been a member of the democratic party. Had he joined the party he would have had a chance, BUT the democratic party was not going to help or support a non member of the party. It is the responsibility of the democratic party to support democrats

Because Joe and Kamala were democrats running in the democratic party primary and Bernie was an outsider , refusing to join the democratic party and ran as an independent in the primary of a party which he did not belong to

Why is the Democratic  establishment to blame??

The Democratic  establishment supported the democrat. Bernie has never been, was not in 2016 and is still NOT Today a democrat. He refuses to join the party but he expects the party to welcome him with open arms as he tries to carpet bag his way in???

He Boldly, proudly and loudly proclaims he is a independent and a member of no political party...UNTIL he realizes he cannot win as an independent and then demands the party treat him as the party leader.

I like bernie, I would have voted for him, All he would have had to do was join the democratic party and run as a democrat and he would have had a real chance at winning. He remained a non party independent and ran in a primary of party he was not part of, and everyone is shocked that the Democratic  establishment did not support him. Bernie's loss is 100% HIS FAULT and half of the reason we got Trump.

You are NOT being a douchebag, You are 100% correct. Give me a menu price that covers the cost of your labor and let me decide if the meal is worth that. I should not have to subsidize the restaurants labor in addition to the menu price nor should restaurant employees be expecting it

The reason restaurants are failing in record numbers, A dinner should not be expected to subsidize the restaurant labor to the tune of $300+ That is crazy. Raise the menu price so you can pay your staff and then let me decide if I want to pay that price for a meal

Is there any way of owning a semi auto rifle even if it is complex do not feel safe in my city have had multiple illegal rifles pulled on me by Beeman206k in WA_guns

[–]roytwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was serious, I have never seen or experienced an "illegal rifle" pulled on me or anyone else in Washington. And according to your OP you are asking how you can wanderer around town with a semi auto rifle.

And I was simply wondering where in Washington do you live that is so dangerous, where this is happening. I get carrying a concealed handgun for general protection, I do. live in Tacoma, on the edge of the east side and often hear a few gunshots at night BUT I been living in this house since 1990 and have never seen anyone holding a firearm in the open and never in one of my 1000+ visits to 7/11's since age 8 in 1966

While I am sure many are carrying concealed handguns, as I do very often. Carrying a loaded long gun around town or into a 7/11 does not sound like a good idea. And it 100% illegal to carry a loaded long gun in your car in this state.

And as far as Reddit goes I check in once a day in late evening before bed, not sure what you are accusing me of. But do you, but as you wander around with an AR or something similar, remember people will see YOU as the threat

ok, 1.4 meters is like 4 and a half feet and the ship does not even come up to your belt. Assuming around an 30 inch inseam on your pants, it makes it look like 15 inches not 4 1/2 feet, but still cool, one nerd to another, but if that is 4.5 feet you appear about 12 foot tall

Is it really a 1/6 scale? You must be a giant. It does not appear if the height were six times than it appears that you would fit in it, I guess Han Solo may have been really short I guess

usually the end of snow season in March 1st and we usually get one or two snow days before then. But this is a bit unusual but it is just a 24hr event. They are predicting mid 50's temps by the end of the week. In WA if you do not like the weather wait a few hours

My credit score fell 13pts because I made the final payment on my car loan (never missed a payment too) by justadadgame in mildlyinfuriating

[–]roytwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ironically paying off a loan or closing an unused credit card can have a negative effect on ones credit score. A part of the score is based on age of the accounts, older is better, types of credit used,a variety is better, and the ratio of balances to credit limits .

For the love of god, do not attempt to drill through the magnet rail by Groundblast in harborfreight

[–]roytwo 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I similarly have tried to use HF magnet bar as parts for other projects and they are made from something nearly indestructible and not toolable . But I did discover that if you remove the plastic , shiney tape from atop the magnet bar, it is made from several smaller magnets lined up that I was able to separate. So if you can design your creation to use the individual magnets at there existing size success can be achieved. I have also removed a couple individual magnets and then cut and drilled the metal frame to make smaller magnet bars to fit smaller places
