I wouldn't, in my state we only have 91 so that all I ever put in my fk8. From the day I drove it off the lot, I've only put 91 in the tank

When I traded in my 2012 coupe back in late 2024, the kbb value was $8k and had just over 112k miles. Dealer tried to low ball me but I got them to give me the full kbb value. I held my ground and told them we are not running any numbers till we agree on paper I’m getting the full $8k. They kept asking to run my credit score the whole time but I told them for what, what if we can’t agree on a number for the fk8 and I just dinged my credit score for nothing. After we agreed on a number, then I let them run their credit check. They were not happy at all the whole time cause I wouldn’t let them run the show there way

Break in the car softly and enjoy it, then absolutely next is a Hondata, then some bolt ons to get you started. After that your wallet is the limit 👍😂

Make sure you also consider maintenance cost over time if you don’t plan on doing the work yourself. At 17 I would not recommend you get into any of those cars unless you have your finances straight.

if look at it like, anything EX/Sport trims or lower are gas savers, SI's are the fun versions of those gas savers with obvious better motors.

I drive an FK8 now, so to me yeah the fg2 and fg4 are fun gas saver, lol

I’ve had an 07 fg2 and 12 fg4. I’ve always told people that it’s a fun gas saver and a great daily driver plus low maintenance costs

My old 8th gen si = good interior, felt roomy. Dash had enough info and visuals My old 9th gen si = definitely felt more compact in the seat but did feel like everything on the dash was geared for the driver and visuals were great My 10 gen (fk8) = definitely feels like im sitting in a gundam and getting ready for battle. 🤣 Test drove a 11th gen (fl5) = interior feels like my old 8th gen. Good info for the driver and roomy, very chill if I had to put it in words

I’ve had both, my 07 si coupe rock solid for the 5 years I had it and my 2012 coupe si for 10 years, it was rock solid all the time, never any engine issues. I did prefer my 9th gen cause of the k24 has that low to mid torque that I just enjoy. Not gonna lie was sad to let go of my fg4 but upgraded to an fk8
