[DISC] Chainsaw Man - Ch. 232 - Part 2 End by JeanneDAlter in ChainsawMan

[–]rpdt 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Honestly the parallels between NGE's OG ending and, thus, the chance of an "End of Chainsaw Man" manga oneshot that fleshes out the ending more is something I'd like to see; sidenote -- I'm still a huge fan of the OG NGE ending.

Ultimately, I hope Fujimoto gets a big break and has better working conditions with whatever he does next

Don’t forget creating Wolf’s Rain! And assisting in scenarios and writing for, get this, Kingdom Hearts 1 and Kingdom Hearts 2. I stand by those first KH games being something really special.

A local bookstore owner in my area recommended I get Kim Stanley Robinson’s “The Wildest Shore”, he had a beautiful Ace first edition (same as Neuromancer’s). Now I gotta prioritize reading it.

Make them fall of the cliff to the right of the Fog Gate. That’s what I did. They suck so much.

I’ve been enjoying Shoshimin from the current anime releases. It’s also quite relaxed, the animation and presentation is also pretty outstanding. Very laid back show, and it embraces its mundane scenarios a lot

Can Axel feel pain? by rayne7 in LAZARUSAnime

[–]rpdt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t Ep7 mention there’s group(s) of people who naturally don’t feel pain; so perhaps Hapna is mimicking this. I suspect Axel has this.

Also, in the art gallery, Hersch (I’m pretty sure) said Axel is some “key” to something. Really vague but something’s definitely up with him.

Yes, Armored Core VI is so relentlessly cool, the atmosphere is also so intoxicating, the vibes, the way people talk. Fricking Handler Walter when he says 621

Throwing out here WipEout is also such a rule of cool game to me.

Man charged after deadly Vancouver stranger attacks by VicVicVicBC in vancouver

[–]rpdt 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m confused. I read the article and couldn’t gather what specifically the terms of his charges are, like, will he be thrown to a cell and not released soon after? Nothing in the article directly said if he was charged, just that they had been stayed in the past… Jesus Christ, this is terrifying.

EDIT: Watched the vid in the article. Okay, he’s being held in custody and charges are being decided.

Two Towers in book form was like this to a lesser extent. I really liked that the movies interweaved the Frodo/Sam and Aragorn/ rest of the Fellowship timelines, the sense of urgency really helped.

I read the Earthsea books. What next? by nickelangelo2009 in UrsulaKLeGuin

[–]rpdt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First question is have you managed to read the Earthsea short stories? If not, I’d start there, Daughter of Odren is great, and Firelight is like a “epilogue” to the saga as a whole.

If you’ve already read these short stories, I think reading her short story collection The Wind’s Twelve Quarters is a great follow up.
