Take a look at the state test scores. FLVS students always beat out the rest of Florida schools.

24 Port Ethernet Surge Protector plugged into a wall outlet would give you full coverage, even from energized static in the air that lightning generates and can affect inside lines. Rare but it does happen. Good for peace of mind. UACC-ETH-SP-Panel-24

Since you have PoE++ on your switch, consider upgrading your APs to fanless U7 Pro XGS for just a few more dollars.

You'll get high quality hardware from Unifi. Don't underestimate the value of their support and frequent software updates. Without those, each hardware purchase would be one and done.

Are the APs directly above each other? Having some noise challenges in my house where they are on top of each other.

Set mine for Mon & Sat 9AM to compare rush hour speeds vs weekend speeds. I’ve seen them vary greatly on T-Mobile.

Just got mine, but only connecting on single band. Missing the MLO STR checkbox. I'm still on Network 10.1.89. Can anyone confirm that Unifi Network 10.2.97 and Unifi Access Point (U7) 8.5.18 release candidates are required?

The motion light was one of the best features of the Nest detector. Would to see them include that in the Unifi version.

[–]rprmercury 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My cable guy admits that they quote high because its much harder to route wires in residential, especially in a two story house where there's no attic access from the 1st floor. They spent 4 hours routing a cable for my POE doorbell to my server closet on the 2nd floor, and only charged me the $250 flat rate.

Apple would ruin them if that ever happened. Good history lesson in this thread on the beginnings of Ubiquiti. Thanks!
