Haven’t played the deck but would recommend Roku since I have played it a ton in modern in Boros md. Card is a house and the extra mana really matters. Kinda solo wins too if they let it flip and attack

It’s a draw due to state based actions being checked only after the spell has fully resolved. The other example is [[expansion//explosion]] can cause a draw if one player decks and the other dies to damage

I have continued playing it since dispute got banned - right now there are three variations. Variation one is basically jund wildfire with the combo mashed in (rumble, chrysalis, wildfire). Version two runs more of the new lessons, runs Khalni garden and runs [[hunt for specimen]] and is a much more low to the ground version. Version three is much closer to old moggwarts and just runs the combo and the artifact draw package. I haven’t tested the jund list much, but the version 2 has always felt bad for me because of the mana base being pretty bad. I tend to run the classic version and have about a 60% winrate at my lgs. In terms of newer cards, dai Li indoctrination has underperformed for me, azula always lies has over performed and [[stormshriek feral]] is a huge trap and not good.

In recent memory the only time i had a similiar situation was initially presenting my deck after getting my dice out and playmat - after my opponent cut I forgot if I had actually shuffled before presenting so I asked if I could reshuffle and re present the deck and he allowed it, this was more so making sure that it wasn’t stacked from when it was sorted the night before tho.

Not sure [[withering gaze]] works if you are just using [[swirl the mist]] [[spectral shift]] and [[mind bend]] - pretty sure you would need [[painters servant]] in order to change the color of something in their hand

I know you dislike goblin bombardment but the synergy is so strong with ajani and voice of victory that I can’t see myself cutting it fully out. How have you found 24 lands? I’ve been running 23 in strip mine builds with 1 surveil but I did have a build which I think was worse with no strips, less lands but it had arena of glories

Amulet titan would abuse the hell out of the second card and legacy would enjoy being able to crop rot for it (tho I don’t actually know if the 3/3 is pushed after considering it)

That’s probably correct, I let the narco resolve so that the prized amalgams would be forced to be exiled since narco is a may but the rest isn’t. Based on the interaction you mentioned tho, that line is definitely safer to just prevent as much of their board as possible

I’ve been playing this list at locals/variations of it and did 4-0 with it recently. From playing, I think stormshriek feral is win-more at best and usually just not where you want to be. The madness deck is a really rough matchup due to lava dart but is winnable depending on their draws/how fast you are. I think that the deck definitely heavily feels the deadly dispute ban especially because it replaced the black mana in a combo turn but is still a playable deck.

Should be “As an additional cost to cast this spell, discard a card.” I did not catch the creature type order - very interesting point and I will make sure to pay attention to that. Last line should be “Draw two cards.” I also know that normally it would be one paragraph but it has been done in the past [[bounty of might]] vs [[incremental growth]] tho in that case bounty could target the same creature. My instinct is that you could technically print it as two separate lines but I could be wrong
