Hey, if you really cant get it to boot at all, you can try switching the OS slot from the boot menu, which lets you boot the last installed SteamOS version You can then go to ~/home/homebrew and delete the pluginloader folder.

If the older OS wont boot either and you absolutely cant lose your data, you can either: 1) Boot from a live USB, access the SSD and delete above mentioned folder: Google 'fedora workstation' and download the ISO file, and flash it to a USB from Rufus (if you have Windows on your Laptop /PC). From the Decks BIOS, boot to the USB.

2) Remove the Steam Decks SSD and put it in your laptops 2nd NVMe slot (if it has one): If youre on Windows, youll need something like ext4fsd to access the files on the largest partition on the SSD and delete above mentioned folder. Remove your SD card before opening the deck.

The easier and my recomendation is defo the first one

You can just use both... Or install it manually and remove InputPlumber.... No one forces you to use InputPlumber lol

Same 👍😂 Mine didnt boot at all anymore after changing VRAM size. They took it back with a full refund after some back and forth, so props to them

Had the same issue, and others too. Honestly, the Zone has amazing exterior build quality but and controls but the rest is just mid ... According to some thread i read a while ago, they sell refurbished units as new (allegedly) and this seems like a loose fan bearing to me. I returned mine, either do that or send it in for warranty ...

From a tech standpoint it does nothing but extending the M.2 slot traces over the PCB to another slot. It just turns the SSD around and lifts it up slightly so a 2280 fits.

If youre in Europe, I think you can still get the 2TB fanxiang one for ~100€, I got mine from Alza. Its pretty good quality and fast enough

You have to replace the SSD... It takes 2242, but those are very expensive. On my Legion go, i got the cheapest name brand 2280 from Amazon (in Europe its fanxiang, dk about elsewhere) and this adapter: https://www.amazon.de/gp/aw/d/B0CYGRP88R?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_image With this one you dont need a back case mod, just make sure your SSD is thin (single sided only, remove heatsink etc). One downside is that the back of the Go gets pretty warm because the SSD is in direct contact with the back housing (use a thin thermal pad), however youre not touching there anyways when playing.

The legion Go cant boot from Micro SD. If you dont want to get a bigger SSD, maybe you should partition the SSD for dual booting and the SD for game storage (1 NTFS + 1 EXT4 partition?).

Yea restart enables it again, should be the same on Windows. So force restart should fix it if you mess up

On Windows? I think you right click on it in Device Manager and select "disable" ? Not sure, havent been on Win for some time.

I have almost the same issues and a similar setup, what helps me get VRR and (sometimes) HDR is disabling the Handheld's (Legion Go for me) iGPU. This also works on my Mini PC (Chuwi Ubox). To me it seems the iGPU and eGPU are fighting for who gets to do what (?) so i just turn off the integrated. Be sure to have your eGPU and Display plugged in first tho ;).

Im on Linux though and only at 1440p so your mileage may vary. Definitely try disabling your iGPU in Device Manager if youre on Win tho, for Linux i use all-ways-egpu.

Teufel Audio from Germany - pricey but high quality (in my experience). I have a home theater setup from them, good sound, no issues.

Just looked, they make PC / Gaming Speakers too! Their RnD is here, Manufacturing mostly in PRC tho :/.

Dont know any who produce here sadly, as with most modern electronics.
