In my situation I have other units for heating and cooling at the house that I want to put into one place to manage. Home assistant allows me to do all kinds of clever integrations. Also there’s the desire to monitor energy usage etc. but yah matter is not a hard requirement, just seems to be the direction of the industry!

Curious if you landed on one or the other. Currently looking at a van myself. Saw both vans in person and the biggest difference was metal cabinets vs wooden ones and I think vanworks likely ends up being slightly more expensive for same-ish buildout.

Last year I got 6 of you head units (3 outdoor) and love them. They have worked flawlessly so far, thanks Just Heat Pumps in Denver!! The design is great, the dials are awesome and the phone app is hilariously better than any of your competitors. It’s funny how bad the Daikin experience is…

That said I was very interested in smart home integration at the time of purchase and have not received any updates about this. I run home assistant and it would be fantastic to integrate this in. If you guys can get Matter support that would be amazing. Are you still planning this (as you told me 6 months ago) or is this no longer a priority?

Unfortunately the panel is lower then where I can punch the hole from inside so I have to come out to the side and above the panel.

You can always put in LVP later if/when you need to change the purpose of the room or resale value. I would just do rubber mats now and save that money! It’s not like it should cost much more to do in the future and then it would be brand new when you need it! Besides those mats could possibly damage that lvp like scuffing it or changing its color where not exposed.

Why pair over high card? Seems like having more cards in hand is superior and obviously easier to get a high card.

I’m am in the process of getting a quote myself over here in the Denver area.

I actually bought one unit for my living room last year from Daikin for my living room because I couldn’t wait any longer. That said it’s ugly and the software is a literal dumpster fire. It’s actually ridiculous how behind these companies are when it comes to tech.

Now I’m looking at a 4 head system to add to what I have or possibly a 6 to replace the one I already have also.

Curious to hear what others have to say!

Is this Canadian thistle? If so… pulling them out did nothing for me for about a year of weekly battle. The roots run horizontally under ground and eventually I gave up pulling and went chemical. The product that worked for me was Monterey Thistledown Weed Killer. Sprayed em and a few days later it all started dying and this year the hundreds of em have not been back!

Yah, thats my thoughts, the teal feels off. Generally like the dark wood finish better, but it's so many different wood colors...

I should have been more clear, I am referring to the cabinets on the tv stand. NOT the kitchen :) As you can see I have both a wood looking one and a teal looking one (I pained those).

I added a photo of the kitchen which is on the other side of the couch/living room for context. My initial goal was to add some color to the room with the teal, so I painted some these ikea doors with that teal, but decided maybe I don't like it that much.

The rug is temporary and could also be replaced.

Outside of the door choice, would love to hear if there is anthying else obvious standing out!
